Scamander Beach Resort

I recently stayed at the Scamander Beach Resort and it was an incredible experience. One of the highlights was waking up to the perfect sunrise visible right from the front windows. The view of the sun rising over the ocean was breathtaking and provided a serene start to each day. The resort itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our stay was pleasant. The location is ideal, offering easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. Overall, Scamander Beach Resort is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Tasmania. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience a peaceful and picturesque getaway.

We’ve been here twice in two nights for dinners. Service was 5 star better than most restaurants in Hobart. The second night the waitress remembered our drinks and asked if she could arrange the same ones for us. Super friendly. Fabulous range of local drinks and cheaper drinks too. Great atmosphere. The food is really good quality fresh pub food. All the classics are there. The grilled Morwong was a highlight. Cooked perfectly. Crispy skin. Simple and healthy. The lasagne on the specials was cooked better than I make at home. Would return next time we’re in town. Thanks for a great experience team!

Have only arrived but service from reception was very friendly and complete. The views from our room is immaculate.
Room is comfortable and clean.
Looking forward to a great weekend in this beautiful place with our motorcycle riding friends.

Rooms are nice and tidy, great views, nice and friendly staff.
Location is close to everything, 5-10 mins drive or a bit longer if you want to visit Binalong bay.
This is our second time and definitely will be back.

This is an older style hotel and some people may not like that. However is ideally located and for those with young children well suited. There is a tennis court play ground and swimming pool
Our room over looks the beach and is lovely it is the first bed which is firm enough for us.
The food in the restaurant is very good for dinner else had locally caught fish the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a cafe across the road for proper coffee. If there were to be any addition I would like a Nespresso machine. 😊

Service was super quick and all staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. Food was great and table had a great view. Will definitely be returning.

During the busiest time of the year and we didn't have a booking, they went above and beyond to book 4 of us in. We have stunning ocean views and have had 5 star service in the restaurant.
The staff are very polite and friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

We had no real plans for this part of our trip. We booked Scamanader Beach Resort online after reception had closed so would have missed our reservation details. We arrived late and the awesome lady at pub handled it like a boss and got us checked-in and sorted.

We spontaneously chose the Scamander Beach Resort as our accommodation for the night. The welcome at reception was extremely friendly and lovely. Our room was clean, had a great view and everything we needed for the night.

Lovely helpful staff. Older style hotel, but very clean and comfortable, great views, and a little balcony.

The room was clean and had all the normal appointments. The chef at the restaurant was exceptional. The steaks we had we're cooked to perfection. (See the pic of the steak). The parmy was huge. We really enjoyed the food. It was a bit pricey but that would be expected when you are the only restaurant in town. The motel staff were universally helpful and positive. From the front desk through the restaurant to the cleaners. They were only too happy to help no matter how trivial the request. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

This review is for restaurant only, as we did not stay in the resort.
We had a lovely meal with great service! For entrees we had pork belly skewers and squid. Both were amazing, the squid was some of the best we’ve had ANYWHERE and cooked to perfection. The burger was incredibly moist and tasty unlike the usual overcooked and bland pub burgers you often get. The curry was alright, not the best but certainly not the worst.
What boosted this review to 5 stars was the service. The English waitress squeezed us in without a booking even though they were extremely busy and was super friendly. The other English waitress/ manager was awesome and moved us when it was a bit loud with a large number of kids at one end. She was super friendly too.
The only downside but the same as most other places during school holidays was the noise. There were loads of kids around and running around a bit mental. Poor parenting and not the staffs fault.
Would recommended for a good feed.

Would highly recommend this hotel. I stay here regularly on business trips. Great value for money with clean rooms with an amazing view!
Restaurant has lovely food and good sized meals at reasonable prices.
The staff are always welcoming and friendly service in the restaurant is a nice way to end a hard days work.

It's a beautiful place and very clean would make a beautiful holiday place and awesome location for family holiday with children
