Stunning food. Recommended the set menu, but the quality is magnificent on every dish. The flavours work for each dish. This is fine dining outside in the sunshine. The only small negative is that the main road is in sight. It did not detract from the wonderful experience.

Matt Adams is a gun chef. Supported with aplomb by Owen and a slick crew of support brigade members outback. However it's out front where things really rock. Aimee does everything perfectly, assisted by the most cool dudes and dudesses. A very polished outfit.

Had a lovely lunch out on the deck. Our waitress was really friendly and knowledgeable and tweaked the menu to suit dietary requirements. Every dish was amazing in the $65 banquet menu, as was the wine. We visited the cellar door and the lady in there was also lovely. Great place to visit.

Timbre Kitchen at Vélo Wines in Tasmania's Tamar Valley region is a culinary gem that we can't stop raving about. Situated on the Vélo Wines estate, this place is a food lover's paradise.

Offering a variety of relaxed indoor and outdoor dining spaces, Timbre offers great views overlooking the vineyards.

What struck us first was the innovative menu, designed for sharing. Timbre offers a delightful range of dishes, from mouthwatering wood-fired pizzas to creations that celebrate fresh, locally-sourced ingredients from local producers and farmers. It's a true showcase of Tasmanian flavours.

The hospitality here is top-notch. The team were not just friendly and efficient, but also impressively knowledgeable and passionate about the food and wine they serve. Their bubbly personalities added to the warmth of our dining experience.

Timbre isn’t just a restaurant; it's a representation of the West Tamar community and Tasmanian hospitality. Their dedication to local produce and collaboration with nearby growers and suppliers is admirable. The result is a menu that bursts with genuine flavours and creativity. From wood-fired cooking to fermentation and pickling, every dish offers a unique blend of the familiar and the unfamiliar.

In summary, Timbre Kitchen at Vélo Wines is a must visit. It's a place where passion for food, commitment to local sourcing, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere come together to create a dining experience that's both memorable and deeply satisfying. Don't miss the chance to savour the best of Tasmanian cuisine here.

A hidden gem serving really beautiful food along with friendly service in a lovely setting.
Just 10 min outside of Launceston - so close and convenient. Large modern open & airy dining space which opens out onto a sunny terrace overlooking the vines belonging to Velo Wines.
BTW the Velo cellar door is right next to the restaurant entrance so do pop in there before or afterwards - excellent wines.
The food served is all locally sourced and is beautifully prepared and presented. Dished are all made to share. We went with the banquet option - a chance to try lots of different things, and perhaps try a few things you ordinary would order for yourself!
The food comes in 3 courses and there’s plenty of it. Excellent value for money.
Highly recommended.

I was speechless throughout the dinner. Couldn't believe my palate... An exceptional meal. The quality of the ingredients (the fish was just incredible) and the perfection of the preparation were amazing. It's fine dining at its best - not trying to make something "different" for the sake of looking fancy. Just making perfect food.
The staff was lovely, friendly and attentive.
The location is beautiful, in the winery.

What an amazing experience my partner and I had today at Timbre. The food was some of the best we've eaten in Tasmania.
We had the deluxe banquet and each plate was just so delicious. The fried baby corn with corn custard was a highlight, which is saying a lot coming from 2 very much meat eaters!
The service waa also impeccable and we both really appreciated the engaging wait staff.
A huge thumbs up from 2 die hard Melbourne foodies.

Wow! Perfectly delicious afternoon was had here. Our server was warm and friendly, the kitchen accommodating to our needs and the resulting food was simply gorgeous. Could have done another round of plates! And the wine, made next door, was a lovely accompaniment. You must go here for a lovely sunny lunch.

Fantastic meal. Chose here for our special dining experience while touring Tasmania and were not disappointed. Chose the $75pp tasting option and all were happy with their meals. Catered for our coeliac daughter brilliantly. Staff were attentive and super friendly.

My daughter and I recently dined at Timbre and was thoroughly impressed by both the exquisite cuisine and the impeccable service. The menu showcased a variety of innovative dishes, blending bold flavors and exceptional presentation. This venue provided an amazing ambience which showcased their amazing onsite Velo Winery, (I would highly recommend their Shiraz which is available in Timbres Cellar Door sales onsite) The attentive and knowledgeable staff ensured that our meal was a memorable one, providing excellent client inter-reactions and ensuring our satisfaction with all things Timbre. I would highly recommend Timbre for a fantastic dining experience and will definitely rebook

This is the best restaurant I have been to in five years.

The staff were hilarious - genuinely funny, extremely good service.

The food was great - they were totally cool with vegan and vego options.

The music is great, the actual building is beautiful, the bathrooms are nice.

Genuinely exceptional.

The whole team here are amazing. The food is highly creative and absolutely flawless. Matt (chef/owner) receives abundant seasonal produce from local growers and responds with menus accordingly. This is a world class production. A must do for any tourist and a regular haunt for Tasmanians.

Amazing food! Catered well to my vegetarian dietary requirements and I was delightfully surprised, trusting them without having a vegetarian menu to go off of. The venue is beautiful, the staff are lovely - don’t miss this spot.

Very nice. We had 1 of each of the shared food services. And it was a service not just thrown at you. Carefully brought out as each dish finished. The sauces were done carefully with precision and clearly made with passion. Beautiful wines and local beer to suit.

Recommended venue for couples and families looking for more than just a meal, but an experience. Thank you for wonderful experience.

Absolutely delicious food! So yum! Service was impeccable and professional. We went for the 11.30am sitting and by 12.30pm it was pretty busy and inside got quite loud and noisy. Very hot by the window prior to 1pm once the sun wasnt streaming in. But they are small things.

Such good food!! We had a baby recently and only managed to wrangle Nanna for an hour last weekend to babysit so my wife and I could go out for a meal. We made a beeline to Timbre, the set menu is always considered and amazing and we leave discussing our favorite tastes and flavors and presentations as though we're experts.

The whole team do a great job, such great service and atmosphere - I'll be 40 soon and on a good day I still consider myself to be pretty cool, but the wait staff here are SO cool. Not try hard barista with a handlebar moustache cool, more like a classy and professional effortless cool - the bloke who served us had a subtle yet intricate sleeve tattoo that made me envious, self condcious and inferior all at once.

There's also a dude who I see there from time to time who might be the owner or head chef? I get the sense he's perhaps the mastermind pulling the strings - have you seen The Bear, that restaurant show on HBO? Well this dude was the Bear from the Bear show long before the Bear was even a show, right down to the white tee and scruffy hair. Well done mystery fellow if you are in fact orchestrating the whole thing - which I suspect you might be.

Jokes aside, this is one of the best dining experiences you can get in Launceston, so please support this business if you get a chance.
