Devonport Library

Great, modern and accessible space with lots of light and a lovely view. Perfect for quiet reading and study. Love the ebooks and audiobooks available through Libraries Tas. There's an area downstairs for kids at the Devonport facility and 90% of staff are really friendly and helpful. Have only had one negative experience with a staff member here who was 'helping' me with the printer, which was a while ago.

Good sized collection of books in a new and modern library. It’s set over 2 levels which can be accessed by electric stairs or an elevator from the lobby entrance or through stairs when in the library.

Parking is available in a parking structure behind the building, it’s paid parking and close enough.

Books can be put on hold from any state library and sent to your chosen library and there isn’t a fee for this service. Also books can be dropped off at any state library and don’t have to be returned to the same one the book was checked out.

Modern building and very good facility. They have many books, dvds, magazines and many more for kids to adults. Plenty chairs and table for reading a book or just sit with your laptop/tablet. Free wifi with high speed internet connection. They have many power plugs to plug the laptop. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Really love this place.

I really enjoy the monthly meetings its a great way to have a q&a within the local community.

This is the new Paranaple Center, Devonport Library, local council, Service Tasmania (State Government,) part of the new living city projects. You might call Devonport, development port, for the next few years.
