Fowles Wine

From walking through the front door we felt at home and welcomed. Michelle guided us through the tasting menu, before we taking our seats in the restaurant. The tasting was extremely enjoyable and informative. As someone having a break from alcohol I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation, history and information about the wines, and my husband loved the tasting. The extremely high standard of customer service continued throughout the restaurant and entirety of our meal. The whole experience was enhanced by the environment and ambience. Highly recommend and can't wait to return. Since reading Weekends with Matt I couldn't wait to go and it did not disappoint.

A spectacular venue catering to all. Tasting room, gourmet shop, restaurant, function spaces available and even a courtyard and play ground for the kids. The food and beverage menu was extensive and the meals were delicious. Well worth a visit, especially considering it’s an easy exit off and re-entry to the Hume Hwy. A nice and easy drive from Melbourne. The grounds are gorgeous too and the outdoor spaces are beautiful for lovely weather.

Return visit for a birthday lunch. Lovely setting, exceptional service & food also was very good plus an impressive wine selection. This place is busy catering for multiple events across several areas. Beautiful area outside for more casual eating definitely worth checking out. Looking forward to returning soon, improving each time!!

Absolutely beautiful meals. The lamb rack was very tender, the best I've had for a long time. All the meals were done well. We had very good deserts too.
We had a pleasant waitress and a seat by the window looking out to the garden.
We had a selection of their wines which were also very good.
Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely stunning venue and amazing food and wine! The service was lovely and everyone was so friendly. Best lamb I have ever tasted was definitely here at Fowles. We will be back!

It's a great experience. The ambiente is very welcoming and rustic. The food is delicious and staff are all nice & professional. Thao was very attentive throughout our lunch experience. Always checking if we were ok!👍Highly recommend!

Food was good. Atmosphere was off the charts. Good place for functions. A little pricey though, but not unexpected. Would recommend.

A most beautiful location! Went there with a large group - think, “herd of cats” - the staff were amazing. They coped with us most admirably. The wine was great, the food was great and we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. I absolutely cannot fault the service. A most delightful afternoon.

Run , don't walk to this winery..well, run if you are that way inclined, we drove, because it's a long way from anywhere to run.... but.... make time to get to this winery /restaurant!

Probably one of the nicest cellar doors we’ve been too. Farm shop, tasting room, feasting arboretum (want one of them at home) and restaurant.
We did the tasting as too early too eat. Bought some lovely wines.
Parking for cars as well as buses and caravans. Well worth a stop.

This winery is so beautiful. The staff are attentive, the food and wine was delicious and the grounds/scenery are so lovely. There are free roaming chickens in a shed that you can go close up and look at and a sheep paddock too. The decor is so delightful and I will definitely be back again.

Great menu choice. Seafood Chowder and Pork Belly were standouts. As were the desserts. Great ambience and although the restaurant was full the acoustics were excellent. Prices very reasonable for high quality food and wine.

The service here was absolutely divine, me and my accustomed friends had a delightful afternoon enjoying some tasteful platers and a wide range of wine tastings. The servers, specifically Talia was truly incredible. Top service. They went above and beyond. Highly recommend. (Michelle cake was impeccable!)

Great relaxed atmosphere. Natural playground for kids easy to keep an eye on them from the booths or courtyard. Excellent service and food will not disappoint. We spent about two and a half hours grazing a platter and deserts.

We have probably driven past here a hundred times and always said we should stop in on day. Well we did and we’re so pleasantly surprised how good this place is. The restaurant is spacious, full of people but not noisy. The menu is extensive which will have coming back to try more options. The tasting areas and retail area are again spacious and well laid out. Highly recommend

Went here for a late lunch and wine tasting. Was amazing. Food was great, the wine was even better. But the service was absolutely superb. Talia our waitress was top notch. Best waitress ever.

We LOVE Fowles!! Our family have lived in the area for several generations and have been coming to Fowles since the Plunkett days. The “new” cellar door is divine, with delicious food all year round, a welcoming ambiance, and most importantly - extremely personable staff, who possess an impressive knowledge of the product line as well as the rare talent of picking wines on your behalf (and actually getting it right!) The cellar door manager, Kyle, in particular is one of our favourite hospitality staff we have ever met. He is professional and quirky with the most wicked sense of humour and a heart of gold - a treasure to be cherished! The Saperavi is a chefs kiss. 10/10.

Went for lunch today and enjoyed the delicious chowder, tacos and potatoes. Our server Sophie was lovely and very attentive to our needs. She made sure our experience was enjoyable. We also encountered a lovely chat with another worker named Layne who was very knowledgeable on the food items and helped us make a difficult decision on what to get. Will definitely be returning thanks Fowles team :).

Outstanding food and wine with excellent service. Lots of delicious vegetarian options (must try the eggplant chips) and reasonable prices for what are clearly premium and fresh ingredients. A wonderful setting looking out over the local hills... Definitely worth the drive.

Fowles was perfectly situated half way to our destination. Not sure what was better, the food or the views. Staff were lovely, wasn’t a long wait for food. Buy the home made tomato chutney and a bottle of wine as a souvenir of your visit.
