Woakwine Range Wind Farm Tourist Drive

Such a beautiful drive listening to the buzzing sound of wind turbines. These wind turbines are on private land so you can’t get to them. But you can drive close to them through off road routes that fall among them. The road is a gravel route. Worth the drive passing these giants.

A fascinating view! Great for a short stop over.
The road can be narrow (can be passable to one car at a time (but I guess can depend on the drivers skill) so it’s much better to look ahead and drive in and out with anticipation.

There were a couple of parkings and if you’re lucky, a lamb will walk by to greet you.

What a great drive and just amazing seeing the size of these up close. They spread for KM's and the drive is nice too.

The wind farm as shown has no tourist drive It does trust me

The drive from the main road to the wind farm is approximately 8 Km, and the drive under the windmills is 10 Km. There is a beautiful spot under the windmill to take pictures. There is enough parking along the road. Hidden gem for eco tourist

Drive is amazing but would be better if they can allocate a point to observe the wind farm.
