Been here a few times for the butter chicken. You can taste the charcoal flavour in the chicken. Absolutely sublime.
Recently had the dinner Thali. The best Indian food I’ve ever had, hands down

It was not a busy night when we were here, though there were quite a few uber eats and other home delivery services collecting their orders.
We had complementary entree. Then we had a goat dish and a curried beef dish and steamed rice. It was absolutely delicious. Our host was very pleasant. The interior was a little too brightly lit, thus reducing the ambience. There was a great mural painted on the wall... fabulous work. This was great, and we'll be back again.

Oye Bombay is worth a visit.
Food: we ate a 3 course meal, starting with Samosa Chaat and a small mix veg sizzler. The portion size of the starters was very generous. I've posted a video of the sizzler. The hara bhara kebab was top quality! About the Samosa Chaat: 2 Samosas served were massive and very filling and yummy.
In the main course, we ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken. I've never had a paneer tikka masala so good! The spoon just slid through the paneer and melted as soon as it sat on the tongue. Super fresh paneer! The Butter Chicken was equally good! Authentic restaurant style butter chicken with small bite sized, perfectly cooked chicken pieces. If you're a fan of Paneer and butter chicken, you have to try these dishes. Very generous portion size and beautiful presentation!
We ordered an onion salad as well, and again very generous portion size, presented with care by adding flavours of vinegar and green chillies sprinkled with red chilli powder. Even the onion salad was yum!
In dessert, we ordered the Pista kulfi, which was alright and nothing fancy. But the presentation was Top Class!
Thanks to the chef for a gorgeous dinner meal. We came home with a box full of Paneer and can't wait to eat this again at home!
Service: We were served by the Owner herself, who recommended the Paneer Tikka Masala. She was friendly and super responsive. Food was served perfectly on time. Only recommendation is that they should clear the table after appetizers before bringing out the mains.
Atmosphere: very authentic Indian decor and quite cool! Could have added to the theme by playing music suiting the theme.

We will be back! This place needs another visit 😁

Indulging at this gem in Altona, I discovered a butter chicken that's simply unparalleled. The chicken, enveloped in a smoky, mouthwatering gravy, was an exquisite delight. Venturing further, the Goan fish curry tantalized my taste buds with its sheer deliciousness. What truly caught my attention was the array of freshly baked naans, a rare and delightful treat. The ambiance exudes warmth and the staff's friendliness adds to the welcoming aura. A dinner here isn't just a meal; it's a journey into culinary bliss.

Ordered food for take away, I must say it was very nice and authentic. Only real gripe I had was that menu was a little outdated online and came up to pay was alot more than I originally intended, I did keep in mind that it could happen but I didn't think it was almost $15 difference than anticipated but I do understand that prices do increase but they were heftier than expected also they told be it would be a 40 minute wait and it became more than an hour wait, I mean that's fine but let me know and I would of accepted it, but I arrived after 45 minutes waiting at home thinking it would be well and truly ready and had to wait an extra 20 plus minutes, and no apologies, sought of bought it down, but luckily the food was great it made up for it a little. I will be back but at least I would know what to expect for money and waiting time.
ALSO TOOK SOME PHOTOS OF THE NEW UPDATED MENU,, As they had no takeaway menus, which I noticed it becoming a norm these day with continuous price changes happening.

Great experience. Best butter chicken I've ever had. Genuine atmosphere, with a warm, polite and welcoming owner, who shows genuine hospitality. An absolute must if in the mood for Indian.

Absolutely loved it! A paradise for Vegans.

I'm not even being biased. Their food is epic. On top of that an Indian restaurant which has an equally epic Vegan menu.

Vegan Gobi 65 and Gobi Machurian is something which even meateaters will eat and might skip their meat for that day. Mushroom Saag is amazing too

If you really want an authentic Indian taste with no compromise in quality, then this restaurant will never break your expectations!

Just wow. Delicious food 🍲 and great service. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was amazingly good. Best sizzler I have ever eaten in Melbourne. A must go for all the non-veg food lovers. The veg food was also impeccably tasty.

We visited this place for the first time. Every dish was delicious. The staff served us as per our preferences in terms of spices. Reminded me of my hometown Bombay…. Thank you Harpreet for serving us and making sure everyone at the table is happily enjoying the food.. Special thanks to Pooja who was amazing

Third time there and each time the food has been excellent.
This time tried 2 vegetarian meals, they were great.

As soon as you enter the fancy ambiance and the little Bombay memories just hits in hard. Extremely well set up ambiance.
But ambiance is not just enough to fill up our hungry bellies.
Coming on to the food and service. We started off with Chicken lollipop, chicken Manchurian dry. For mains Lamb Rogan & butter chicken along with roti, cheese and garlic naan.
The chicken lollipop and butter chicken are show stealer.
Not to forget the service was prompt and friendly.

AWESOME food!!! This place is a hidden gem, serving good portion of food but most importantly really delicious food! The place is spacious being able to accommodate a lot of people and very clean and modern styled. Their menu is extensive and for our first visit here, we pretty much tried everything from each of their category and nothing disappointed! We were also elated with their service:) the staff was very friendly and engaging and made sure that we were enjoying our meal!! Definitely a highly recommended place to visit!! This was our first and definitely not the last!! Another amazing restaurant with awesome food in the western suburbs!! Keep it up!!

I used to live close by... just came down to have lunch and it was amazing as usual!!

Oye Bombay is my local, I have never ever had a bad experience with their food or the service. The owners are absolutely lovely and will always provide you with a smile! I would highly recommend their fish / seafood dishes. You struggle to find a place with fish that’s fresher! For your vegan friends, they are one of few places in the west with good quality vegan dishes!

Absolutely amazing food. A must visit. Proper Indian food, great and very authentic flavours and very well priced. Service is also extremely friendly. We had a few entrees like the sheekh kebab, stuffed mushrooms and laali kebab and for mains u must try the pork vindaloo(proper Goan style) and chicken bhoona gosht. We also had the lamb biryani, fantastic. Can't go wrong with any of the dishes and will definitely be back again to sample the rest of the menu!

Have ordered delivery here a few times during lockdown and never had a bad meal. Finally got to eat in and was not disappointed.
Great Biryani and the curry was super flavourful with a good proportion of meat. Naan and pappadums were on point as well.
Overall a solid local curry spot and you'd be hard pressed to get a bad dish.

Delicious food, worth the wait. It's quite spicy so mild was fine for us even though we'd normally order medium. All the dishes we've tried have been good! We have been three times.

Lovely foods and experience. Nice diner with family. Goat Biryani is my fav. Kids love the butter chicken.
