My family and I eat here pretty regularly and the service has always been great. I usually have the hainanese chicken rice which is my favourite of any place! The butter chicken is also really good. The restaurant is small but we always leave happy.

The food are quite good here. Their prices are also quite reasonable.
Most of their customers take away, so they don't look too crowded.
Service was good and friendly.

This place is fantastic. Curries are about $18, they a very decent size, delicious and friendly casual place.

Revisited after far too long away, I discovered that this gem of the North hasn't changed a bit. It still puts out award winning dishes and the staff are so lovely and accommodating.

My wife and I always begin with the entree of Peking Duck pancakes. With a slight twist to the Malay, pickled vegie replaces the ubiquitous spring onion.

Our mains were the sizzling platter of filet steak, just so flavoursome and mouth wateringly tender. While you're on the chef's special page, try the coconut butter prawns, an absolute blow you away dish, prawns cooked to perfection with a unctious sauce and vegies.

This place never disappoints.

Went for dinner with my grandparents, aunt and mother. We sat down and ordered, and in about 15-20 minutes the food was coming out. Huge big servings and looked and tasted very freshly made. They don’t get stingy with the ingredients either. For the size of the meals it was very very reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone, and I’d definitely come back for more.

Excellent food and service. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The food is very clean and tasty. I loved the sizzling pepper beef. I brought 6 friends who never tried the food here before and they all said it was much better than our usual place. I think this will become our new favourite. A true gem Asian restaurant.

Ordered a laksa to take away and found the place completely empty when I arrived to pick up my order. The place next door didn't have an empty seat and people were queued outside to be seated. I wasn't sure I had ordered from the right place... until I got home and tasted it.
The food was amazing and the service was quick and very friendly. No idea why this place had nobody dining in, but I know for one thing I'll be back.
Delicious!!!

Don't know whether I should write this review as the place is quite tiny and I want to be able to get a table, but food of this quality deserved 5 stars
A friend and I shared a small but perfect meal here on a stinking hot day last week. The food was obviously cooked to order (nothing out of the freezer, I reckon) and the tastes were fantastic
Service was friendly, timely and patient. As we were deep in conversation, we stayed on past afternoon closing time, but we were not hurried out
I will return to Rasa Chinta and hope I will be able to get a table as I see most of the other reviews are glowing too

Super good laksa! Haven’t had such a good one since I left Asia. The broth is unbeatable, comparing to many other Asian restaurant in Melbourne, Rasa Chinta’s laksa is really one of the best. Their customer service is extremely good too. Good customer service, good food with good pricing, what more can you ask for? We will definitely be back to try more varieties. 😁👍🏻

I have been a fan of this place for many years as have my daughter, mum, sisters and close friends. Love the curry laksa, fried kway teow, beef randang and many other dishes. Although a plain restaurant (not flashy), it is cosy and aromatic with great service and great prices. A must try if you love Malaysian food.

A great little restaurant, I dare say living in the shadow of their more famous neighbour, but definitely equal in quality in my opinion. The honey pepper chicken is unbelievably good.

Highly recommend for lunch or dinner. The Malaysian and Chinese dishes are excellent and the price is relatively cheap. If you like sweet and sour pork, give it a try.
