My favourite Vietnamese restaurant hands down. Everything I've eaten was delicious. The rice with 3 choices is lunch I look forward to. There are many dishes to sample from. All freshly prepared and tasty. My happy go-to Vietnamese restaurant of choice 👍👍😊

Surviving in Springvale can be tough for restaurants if they don't offer decent food at a reasonable price. So, when a place like this boasts a 4.8 out of 5 on Google, it speaks volumes. I decided to try their Bún riêu, a Vietnamese rice noodle soup known for its slightly sweet and acidic tomato flavour, loaded with crab, tofu, and shrimp. It was packed with flavour and didn't disappoint. And of course, Vietnamese ice white coffee never goes wrong. I'll definitely be returning.

Absolutely love this place! The food is authentic and taste so delicious! I have tried so many other restaurants nearby and have to say, this one is one of the best. Highly recommend it!

This is a cosy restaurant tucked away inside Springvale Central that I would have easily walked past, if not for the existing reviews. It is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in every way, including the decor, service and the food.

The spring rolls themselves were crunchy and when eaten together with the lettuce and mint and dipped in fish sauce, it had the crunchy, freshness, sour, salty and sweet flavours singing in your mouth.

I have mixed thoughts about the Bun Rieu. The soup base was pungent and full of flavour and 'the lot' was a pleasant surprise. There was pork blood, pork trotters (which is always a highlight) as well as other goodies. The soup was served with crab meat that was finely shredded(?) and it tasted grainy (which wasn't a pleasant texture). Also, the noodles were thinner than I would like and I think it would have been better with drop noodles. Please keep in mind that I'm not Vietnamese and sorry if I have offended anyone.

With the crispy chicken on red rice, the dish was exactly as expected. The chicken had a thin crispy skin and the rice had the classic tomato flavour. My friend wished there was a little bit more chicken though.

Overall, I wouldn't mind coming back again to try their other dishes. There were so many to choose from and not enough tummy space to fit it all in!

They serve authentic Vietnamese food! The aunties were super friendly and helpful. The portion of the food is MASSIVE and with amazing value too! Only $15 for a banh xeo and it was literally the size of a chicken parma. Love their banh bo hue and banh xeo and those lovely aunties who helps us with the menu 🫶🏻.

It's so nice to be able to have decent breakfast with extensive amount of vegetables. I'm trying to sample all their food now. Their pho is solidly the best I ever had.

I love this place, every single dish that I’ve ever tried has not failed to impress. My parents also love the authenticity of each dish.

Highlights are definitely the bun mam and the $11 rice and three side dishes. I had the ca kho, braised pork ribs and canh chua. Though you definitely can’t go wrong with any of the dishes and they come out very quickly.

Service is attentive and food tastes like it comes from your homey grandma but only better!

This place is amazing for their fresh and homey food. Good place for Vietnamese food and always on time. We thoroughly enjoyed the chicken spring rolls it’s the best with the sauce and mint leaves. The wonton soup broth is amazing and my personal favourite. Definitely recommend checking out this place! Good prices and good food! 5 out of 5 stars for me!

Visited Bac 8 recently and was blown away! Delicious food, clean venue, and top-notch service. Highly recommend for an unforgettable dining experience. Can't wait to return!

Came here for my lunch break and got some banh xeo, food was absolutely amazing quick and delicious, and for the price it was outstanding! Will be telling everyone to come here and get some true Vietnamese food!

First few days out of lockdown, freedom!!! We headed to the closest Decathlon for a bit of Xmas shopping. Mrs took ages to choose, I was famished, waiting, waiting...😂 while waiting and hungry, I found this gem on g-map, this place already have stellar reviews, plus, it's only a short drive from where we were. Finally Mrs was done, we got out of there quick smart and got to Bac 8 within 15 mins. A little tricky to find, it's a small place on the left once you enter the Springvale Central entrance (as pictured). We ordered their Vietnam Noodle Soup, Mekong Seafood Vermicelli Soup, and a small portion of their fried squid . A short wait, out came the dishes. Both noodle soups are absolutely massive!!! And it's tasty as, what value!! There's quite an extensive menu for a little shop like this. Loads of people were there buying takeaway also when we were eating inside (there are about 8 small tables for inside dining), and I can hear many of the punters spoke to the shopkeepers in Vietnamese, so I'm guessing their food is quite authentic even for the locals with Vietnamese background. I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the area again for some chow. Thanks heaps Bac 8 for a delicious quick lunch!! 😁👍

Probably the best Bun Rieu (crab, tomato noodle soup) that I ever had. $15 for the bowl. Soup does not taste fishy at all. Generous ingredients. The dining ambience is a bit rustic.

Had the Bun Mam on a 2nd occasion. It's Vietnamese seafood soup with a dark green soup base. The seafood ingredients are basic, basa fillets, calamari, and banana prawns. If you have a choice, pick the Bun Rieu.

Came back here wanting more pho. We ordered beef pho, pork/spring rolls vermicelli, bun curry and fried squids. Still as yum.

Little place with lots of varieties. Rice and pho and spicy Vietnamese dishes. Spoilt for choice. Definitely would be back for more.

Been coming here for the past few weeks now and have been constantly satisfied with not only their delicious food, but their service and atmosphere! must visit place when you are around the area.

Come here once a month. The 3 choice is the best bet. 3 different choices, try something new each time. Nothing disappoints, ever. Been coming here since they opened.

Such a nostalgic feel close to the streets of Vietnam. The aunties serving and the rustic and delicious vietnamese dishes that have been served at home for years. It brings joy and happiness to see these types of places still going after covid and inflation. Will be back to support!
