CERES Merri Cafe

Lovely place, stunning views over the farm, delicious food and coffee.
Liked the Pearl Couscous salad and the Kimchi sandwich.
Plenty of space to seat inside and outside, we will come back to explore the farm, community workshops and get another round of great food!

Soup of the day and frittata with side salad and iced lattes, very enjoyable to eat on the breezy balcony overlooking Ceres’ grounds. You can order inside or by the QR code on the table. Food came and was cleared efficiently.

A good range of mainly vegetarian and vegan options are available. A favourite place for me to have lunch when I’m in te area.

Really tasty organic cafe. Also hundreds of cakes and pastries I'm yet to try but look delicious!

Big things are afoot at the once sleepy Merri Table. Since taking on a new head chef, the kitchen is bursting with flavour. New dishes that incorporate home-grown produce, heirloom varieties and wonderful seasonal tastes are all featured prominently. You can now spend the better part of a day at CERES enjoying everything this urban oasis has to offer.

Excellent environmental credentials have not compromised taste or variety here. It's great to eat something wholesome and know it is not costing the earth.
I love their hash tag dish, and their fried chicken is awesome. They also do great beans!!! Happy to eat there over and over.
The staff are excellent, and always happy to accommodate any special dietary needs.
If you have time, and want an extra special experience, try their Tamil feast which is only available a couple of nights a week, you get to eat with your hands if you want to!

Really nice meal with my wife and kids there yesterday. Beautiful vegan salads. Coffees were very good. Prices reasonable and friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.

4 of us enjoyed breakfast at Merri Cafe this morning after parkrun at Kirkdale Reserve. The easy ordering system via qr code scanning with quick and our food and coffee arrived quickly. I really enjoyed the breakfast wrap gluten free option and the coffee was great! Thank you 😊 💓

Exceptional place to relax with a coffee and snack on the sunny balcony to meet with friends. There's plenty of seating and a large carpark. At the back there's also some animals for the little kids to observe located next to a 2nd cafe. Service is friendly and efficient. Seems like you are way out in the country, so will be back to this little haven in the middle of Brunswick.

The cafe catered for our large group and provided quality food and friendly service. Would be happy to go again.

Excellent. It's got it all in spades..

I like it . A true outdoor setting. The food is lovely, as as you'd expect it goes along the healthy, vegan and vegetarian lines. Coffee is fine. It can be quiet or a riot of activity. The most uncomfortable thing is when you first get there it isn't always clear what to do. They are meant to guide you but are often busy, so you find a table and then line up to order. Also as one friend pointed out he didn't know who the staff were because they aren't wearing any indication of being staff. But once you get past all that I think it's so peaceful and impressive to be in a real country/ farm like environment within the urban environment. 💮🌿🍃

Been there a few times lately and the food is fab! I've been coming to Ceres for years and this is the best version of this cafe so far, fab pastries, egg sandwich is awesome, coffee was great and the staff very friendly. I'll be back for sure.

Best mushroom toast ever i'm slightly bias but I stand true to my statement!! Also great crew and the best spot for a cuppa and a wander around some greenery X
