I used to take my childen camping there and now my children are taking their children there, very safe spot, 2 rivers run along 2 sides of the camp grounds untill they join into 1 making a great paddling area. Great for tyre tube floating as you can go a few hundred metres up stream and float all the way to the Junction, hot showers and a large toilet block on site, live in site supervisors so amenities are always clean.. absolutely fantastic spot, no available power but heaps of green grassy camp spots...

A great spot away from towns and reception but not too far to be a concern. A lovely creek/river that flows right around the sites. Good prices and not too far from Melbourne. There are powered sites if you get in early, and shower and toilet facilities are available.

Great find this at last minute and had a nice spot next to the river within the main grounds but some better ones can probably be reserved in other parts with more privacy especially as some people do tend to use the car to go up to the toiler/shower block on the hill causing a bit more traffic. Great area to explore and had some luck fishing. Very nice people (Margaret and Bob) that run the place.

Very nice camp ground, with well organised and nice and flat sites. The creek is very clean and was flowing well when we were there last. There is a decent stretch of gravel road with deep corrugations to get to the site at the time of this review. Camp is in the middle of tall gum trees and thick forest.

Lovely place for camping went there with a few people for Australia day and it's really nice there is a lot of water and if you're lucky you can meet natural animals. You also can go fishing there and swimming. Just be careful to the snakes. A couple of beers needed to go there 😉.

We have stayed at Caringal scout on 2 long weekends and have been amazed by this amazing hidden destination, we have always camped with like minded people and everybody respects each other in his camp, we have enjoyed camping the river listening to it as we fell asleep after a day adventuring the surrounding locations.
The caretaker Sam is execellnt with tips and local knowledge even though he is still new to the job he can provide good options to fill in your stay.
The showers and toilets are located up on top of a hill but we got used to walking up each time the need arised.
We love this place and will keep returning in the future.

Great place..serenity and quite is palpable as you arrive...but shh...dont tell anyone..
Perfect for young families and oldies too.
Clean toilets and showers are a massive bonus when camping.
Just make sure you book ahead.

This camp spot was awesome I spent two nights there with my family and We are really enjoying. Plenty space for kids to play, all facilities you need ( i.e., toilet, shower hot & cold water, ice 3.5$/p bag, firewood and 30 minutes driving for shopping Colse &Aldi and etc.) and a very nice and clean small river in vicinity.

Perfect place to spend a weekend or a couple weeks camping or staying in a self-contained cabin, so much to do nearby but it's likely you'll just want to relax and enjoy the peace!

Great place to stay. The camping spots are very generous. The toilets are dated and could use an update.

Great camp with branches of the Tyers River flowing through it and joining nearby. Some excellent hiking tracks start from the camp.
