Delicious hot pot originally from Melbourne.
Tried some times in Jakarta but in Melbourne is much tastier. I love the broth.

The place is small but also available outdoor.

Ordered a signature malatang mild. I was too excited to take the foods and cost almost $60. Don’t get too excited! But no worries, you can get a container for takeaway if you can’t finish. Soup was so tasty!

There aren‘t many kinds of soup ingredients, but the signature soup tastes the best. It would be good to add a variety of ingredients.

Best hotpot ever. Came in super hungry and tired at 21.30 , stumbled upon this hidden gem. Ingredients were so fresh and broth yummy.
Customer service can be improved... regardless will be coming back!

We are big fans of Dragon Hot Pot, and love the idea that you just walk in, take a pan, and pick all the vegetables, meats, seafood, noodles that you like from their wide selection. Price is by weight.

Service is quick and their Signature Ma La Tang broth is our go-to broth for the perfect flavor that compliments the food. You get to choose the level of spicy.

Prepare yourself for some wait time, but trust me, it's all worth it!

Awesome place! Prices are reasonable, and you can get yourself a delicious filling meal if you pick the right ingredients.

I have very low spice tolerance, so I always go for level 1. Sometimes the spiciness is inconsistent, but level 1 is really fitting for my taste.

The staff are overwhelmingly friendly and considerate! When we were queueing outside on a cold rainy night, they gave us umbrellas and water.

Queues get pretty long during peak hours so plan ahead!

Went with Mala soup base, was delish! Just a handy tip guys, don't get too excited while picking your meats and veggies, I filled in my pot so much that it was enough for 2-3 people to eat 😛

Really great all rounded hot pot place, they have a lot of different broths to pick and choose from and dozens of different types of ingredients you can pick from, didn't take very long as well.

You can choose your ingredients, how much you can eat, how spicy you like 👍🏻

Chinese Hot Pot with a difference. Grab a large golden pot, fill it with ingredients you want - paid for in 100g increments, choose a broth (classic Sichuan Ma La is pictured with a choice of spiciness) and the kitchen will cook up the dish in a large deep bowl for you. The broth exhibits deep flavours, perfect for porous noodles or tofu to absorb. Make sure your eyes don't get too far ahead of your stomach though, as you can easily overindulge on the many ingredients presented to you in the self select fridges. A classic concept of hot pot, for those without as much time or space to cook one. Perfect for a chilly evening meal.

I used to have DHP heaps during my uni days but since Covid, I hadn’t stepped food in the restaurant. I went back for the first time in over 3 years recently and had a huge feed! I forgot how good their soup bases were 🤤 I used to always get the bone broth but this time I got the malaban in mild and it was very flavoursome!

The Elizabeth st is quite small but they have outdoor seating! Similar to all DHP, people are in and out so the wait time usually isn’t too long anyways!

It was so good to revisit!!

First visit here, the food was really nice except the soup was very oily. Tasty food though. Next time I would ask for a clear broth instead. I’ll visit the other restaurant on Elizabeth st next time I think it has more to eat 😋😋

So I can build my own soup?! Hells YES please! Awesome ingredient selection, the signature broth was super tasty, I'll be back more often than I'm willing to post publicly 😬

The soup is very rich and tasteful. But most of the meat out is out stock at night.
