Global Village Learning

We moved our son to GVL this year and it was the best decision we made. He is more confident, happy and enjoys going to school now. He is now more involved and open to learning new skills. The guides are amazing and take time to get to know each student and there family's. It's not just a school, it's a village and we are so proud to be apart of it.

Moved one of our children here last year and it's suits them far better as a learning environment than other schools they have attended. The teachers and principal are invested in making the environment one that develops the whole person rather than only learning the 'books'.

This community has been an absolute game-changer for our teenagers in the Cycle 4 senior program since they arrived 12 months ago. The sense of belonging and engagement that is intentionally fostered here goes above and beyond anything we could have imagined. Instead of just surviving, our diverse young learners are thriving. The Staff, the Guides and the Leadership team – they're all nothing short of extraordinary. Compassionate, progressive, and dedicated to instilling a sense of global community and future focused learning. The way they model respect and dynamic learning allowing choice and autonomy (within a considered framework) is simply inspiring. Everyone is treated with unconditional positive regard, and you can see it reflected in the way everyone treats each other. It's truly a delight to be part of this community, where families are embraced and included every step of the way and students are happy, thriving and learning how to be part of a global village through innovation, creativity and inspiration!

We absolutely love GVL. Our daughter has been going for 3 years and my son starts next year. It is a beautiful environment that fosters creativity, individuality and growth driven by the students ambition and drive. My daughter loves school and misses it on the holidays. We couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. My daughter likes clubs as it allows her ‘to follow her own dreams’ (her words) :)

Fantastic school. Wonderful community. My kids love learning here and are given way more opportunities than they would ever dream of in mainstream settings, particularly for my youngest who has taken on a significant role in the GVL animal room and encouraged to pursue his passion for animal husbandry, animal education and zoology.

GVL has been life changing for our family. Our kids have settled in so well and actually look forward to school which has been a real struggle in the past. The guides are wonderful, so accepting and understanding of each individual’s needs. It’s easy to see how passionate they are about helping our kids achieve. So grateful we found this school.

The individualised care and support my son receives here is remarkable. He is really "seen" by his educators and the community and other kids. We love being a part of GVL. Nothing is better than your kids wanting to go to school and not wanting to leave even after school is out! The Macedon Ranges are blessed to have such a modern learning hub that uses evidence based education systems and support to shape the future of our kids in an extremely modernising and ever changing world.

My Son is absolutely thriving at GVL. He is in his 3rd year now and the growth and support I have seen him receive in the past 10 weeks is amazing. He is turning into such a well rounded, independent person and I cannot wait to see what he achieves over his schooling career at GVL.

I'm a year 10 here. My guides are good and supportive. I definitely prefer going here rather then other places.

My children are currently doing amazing here. The staff are amazing, kind and friendly.

My grandson is a student there and I feel that he has grown as a responsible person to a tremendous level. The children are responsible for their own learning and are taught grace and courtesy as well as how to prepare their work and learn at their own pace. There are no failures here and no competition to be the best achiever. If someone is behind other students help them. Being 3 year cycles the children have ample time to understand what is expected.
In my experience the children are way ahead of the overcrowded public system and display a maturity of much older students.
it is great to walk into a classroom and see the children working away quietly without distracting each other and without a discliplinarian watching them. They just love to learn.

gisborne primary is the best place compared to here. Students don’t learn anything. 👎

ever since 2018 this place has gone downhill. GMS was the better version.

horrible school!! don’t take your children here, my daughter came to me crying first day here.

teachers are rude and disrespectful

beck is the worst teacher there. She Forces the kids to do things that they can't even achieve. I don't know how they let her to still work here.
