Dumplings Delight (Essendon)

Came to Melbourne (for my first time) from Perth for a 2 week work trip. This place was absolutely amazing, food was brilliant, customer service was A grade, and the prices are what kept me coming back. Only down side is the constant flow of Uber eats drivers that came through but ultimately that’s not the staffs fault. Definitely get the pork and vegetable wonton noodle soup. 🙌

Had dinner here with my family tonight. The food was delicious, everything we ordered was amazing and the staff were lovely. We will definitely be back.

A thriving busy dumpling place. Delicious choice of dumplings, rice and stir-fry dishes and other mains. A small amount of seating is provided if you want to dine in. Was an enjoyable eating experience. The dumplings were really delicious

Food is great, loved the noodles and dumplings but girl at front counter is absolutely rude and has zero smile on the face, I respect small businesses but customer service like this, kills the taste of the food too. If business owners are reading this, please speak this girl. Will come again because I loved the food. Thank you

Extremely good service - cannot fault this one bit.

Ordered the special fried rice, honey chicken, sweet and sour chicken, veggies in garlic sauce and dumplings to share.

All the food was great except the Honey Chicken. The batter was too thick in my opinion and wasn't much chicken compared to the batter.

All in all, still really good food at an affordable price accompanied with great staff so definetly a returning customer.

We dined in recently and enjoyed the fantastic service at Dumpings Delight. They have a small dine-in area (seats about 14?) which can be busy with people collecting their orders but was wonderfully clean with relaxing music playing. We were impressed with how welcoming and attentive the staff were! The dumplings we ordered were generous and flavourful and the stir fried veggies were deliciously garlic-y.

We returned tonight for takeaway and were pleased with the fast service and were again greeted with a welcoming smile. You can tell that this restaurant uses quality ingredients - the beef in my stirfry was melt-in-your-mouth and the pork buns were top tier!

The menu allows for easy navigation of different dietary requirements with lots of vegan options.

We'll be returning again soon!

We were a group of 5 and found them on google search. We can honestly say the food was delicious and Jenny who served us was delightful. Thanks Jenny we will be back. And thanks to the chef.

My favourite Chinese food in the north!

This is the best little hole in the wall spot. Food is always fresh and flavoursome.

The prawn and chive dumplings are my favourite! They are delicate and juicy, my only criticism is that they don't come in a bigger serving, you can only get them in 4 while I'd like them in a pack of 12.

The veggie fried rice is awesome, so are any of the strikers tied dishes! I can also never go past the Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce!

The service is always friendly and polite, and staff genuinely care that you have a good experience every time.

I’m a regular at Dumplings Delight. Food is yummy and quite authentic, and always ready quickly. The staff is outstanding - friendly, warm, efficient, regardless of how busy they are. They recognize my voice on the phone by now! It’s a staple for me :) love them and will always be back!

These guys make the yummiest and best quality dumplings! The customer service is also fantastic too. We were accidentally sent a wrong item through DoorDash but Dumplings Delight rang me straight away to let me know and immediately cooked the correct item, as well as personally delivered it to my door in no time. Thank you so much. Will definitely order again and refer to friends and family :-)

We ordered from Dumplings Delight for the first time. We had the pan fried kang pao chicken dumplings, beef dumplings and fried rice. They were all cooked well and had great flavours!

Nowhere does Dumplings better than here. My ex partner & everyone I’ve taken here loves the food. My personal favourites are the vegetable fried rice & vegetarian steamed dumplings. The ex loves the pork & prawn dumplings!

They also pay attention to special instructions with your order, in my case no added MSG. The delivery from them is very quick & their service for dine in is excellent also. I’d highly recommend to go in or get DD delivered on Menulog/UberEats/Deliveroo.

A restaurant that lives up to it's name. The menu has all of your favourite dumplings at reasonable prices. You can dine in or take away. Orders are always prepared quickly, so wait times are average even in busy time.

Most delicious honey chicken in all of Melbourne. I drive over 45 minutes just to eat here!
