Delight Kitchen

Went there for a dinner with collaborators on the trip to Australia (Friday night). We were lucky to get one of the last tables without any booking. Place was full with well off Asian families enjoying thir food - always a good sign. I had some concerns about reviews posted several months ago about too long a wait for the food, yet food was on our table quickly and it was amazing! Large portion sizes to satisfy hungry young guys. My favourite is eggplant in garlic sauce in the clay pot. Braised pork was apparently very good too (almost too good to share 😋😂). Good attention by the service staff, polite, timely and caring. Good atmosphere. Will definitely highly recommend!

After polishing off my meal, I couldn't help but marvel at the culinary fusion that occurred when Chinese cuisine made its way to Australia. The Peking duck pancake surpassed any I have previously tasted, with a delightful touch of melon that elevated it to an elite status, setting it apart from any other rendition I've experienced. The addition of melon as an accompaniment was truly a stroke of genius.

I also indulged in the crispy pork with white vinegar sauce, which delivered a delightful, albeit sweet, flavor profile. However, when paired with the perfectly seasoned Yangzhou fried rice, the perfect balance of saltiness cut through the sweetness, creating a match made in culinary heaven.

The staff's warm and friendly demeanor added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience, and the cleanliness of the restaurant further enhanced the overall ambiance. As the only non-Chinese patron in the establishment, I found this to be a quintessential sign of an authentic and exceptional Chinese dining experience.

Seriously made my week coming here! Incredible food and portions for a good price. Service was so lovely, all staff were nice and always helpful. Atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant is so modern and cool! Would definitely come back again soon :))

Best Asian food in the suburbs! Must try Peking Duck, stewed pork and lichee prawns. And the presentation was very impressive. We will come back soon to try more dishes.

I have been here a few times and have always had very good experiences. The food and service are very good. The staff are very friendly.

My go-to dishes are the sweet and sour crispy chicken fillet with walnuts, crispy prawn with egg yolks (yum!) and fried noodle with shredded duck. The Peking duck is also very good.

Delight Kitchen is a great addition to the dining scene in Mount Waverley.

A little bit expensive but the food quality definitely worth the price

We've been here for lunch on multiple occasions and the lunch special is very good value and delicious! The staff are all very friendly as well. Seating and atmosphere is comfortable and inviting.

Lovely restaurant with delightful dishes! Highly recommend three ways to eat Peking duck, definitely worth a try! Pork ribs with potatoes are also great, big size for 2 ppl! Crispy prawn balls is another surprise, creative idea. Definitely will revisit.

Hidden place in Mount Waverley. They have really a pretty much good portion of BeijingDuck which u need to order ahead. It has three different food, noodle, duck and soup. My friends and ours think the soup is the best. It has enough food to wrap, sauce and spring onion, rock melon and cucumber. I have order other food as well and it has lots of deep flavours in each dish and lots of skill and love from the chef. It has authentic Asian interior design inside and it looks amazing. Staff are so friendly and professional. You will experience an authentic Chinese food there. Love it and we would love to go back to try other food as well.

High standard of staff service and delicious foods. I especially recommend the Peking Duck, the skin are crispy and very tasty. A good place for family reunion and causal dinning.

i have to disagree with the one star review posted by the first guy, i had my concerns before i went to delight kitchen, but it turned out to be one of the best Chinese restaurant i visited in recent times by FAR! every dish stands out on its own, will definitely go back again!

Ordered takeaway two days in a row from this restaurant. Good range of food to choose from and taste great. Also, good customer service. Highly recommend!
