Good food, good service and great scenery. Came here on a Sunday at 11am. I called 5 days before to make a booking for 8 ppl with potentially more and the person on the phone was really helpful and accommodating. I mentioned that the number might go up to 16 ppl and she said they have two large tables that can seat 10 each so no problem.

When we arrived, I was happy that they seated us inside because the day ended up being colder than forecasted. Almost all tables outside were occupied, inside had few vacant tables. We had to park about 100m down which isn't a hassle because the walk is scenic.

All of us enjoyed our meals, the burger, BLT sandwich, portobello with kale and butter chicken. Servings were generous. Coffee was alright. The caramel slice was good too but we had to return the first one because it was very dry. The staff was apologetic and happy to give us another slide.

The toilet was outside and you need to get the key from the staff.

When paying, we were allowed to split our bill, the cashier just ticked off what we had and we paid for it. There was a 20% discount if paying with cash and 5% surcharge for weekends.

I'll definitely return here on a nice warm day but I'm sure it'll be packed!

We met in the cafe after cycling for 12km from Camberwell. I ordered a Spanish egg and flat white as brunch. It came out to be over satisfactory.
Great view if sitting outside, Yarra river bends in front of the cafe and many birds are there hunting for food. Harmony environment.

A gem in the middle of a river bike ride. Fantastic for a lunch on a nice weather day. A good mix of adult, kids, and healthy options on menu

Great café in a bush setting on the Yarra opposite Herring Island. Feels a million miles away from Toorak and South Yarra, even though that's technically where it is. Food is super delicious, and I'm not sure why it doesn't have a higher average score.

Some reviewers commented negatively on service, but service has been great whenever I've been there - one waitress even offered to let me double park behind her car in the carpark if no spaces available.

Love the food, it was so good. Love the view, what a beautiful morning to have yucky brekky by the river in a beautiful natural setting.

Lovely spot on a bend in the Yarra River. Perfect stop when riding the Capitol City Bike trail.

Love this place. The lamb curry was cooked to it perfection. Tender meat. A great cafe for our after workout and Coffees were great. Love their floor staffs and very attentive. Asked for Aden one of their super star.

Located right on Yarra River Reserve near Como Landing in Como North Park and overlooking Herring Island, Kanteen is a great place to stop for a drink and a bite during a walk or bike ride along the Yarra. However, the coffee is just average and while the food is good (great muffins) it's not cheap but the ambiance is great. A very relaxing place with nice views. The staff is super friendly however we found the service a bit slow.

Melbourne doesn’t have great outdoor venues, this is definitely the BEST spot for some sunshine and brunch in my opinion! Great service 👌

Amazing food in breath-taking views. My husband and I are on a mission to take everyone we know for breakfast or lunch there. Parking spots are available nearby, but you may also want to take a walk on the Yarra trail.

Huge fan of this place. Stunning location on the banks of the Yarra and an epic casual vibe. It was my 5km bike ride radius during the covid years and it’s still a firm favourite. Great food, juice, coffee etc. Toilet stops are a pain, however, especially if it’s busy as lots of people waiting to share one unisex toilet!

Love it ! The location and the atmosphere it self will make me come here every Saturday! Especially if the weather would be nice.

Went for a late lunch and the menu has a lot of options. The location is great.
