IGA Altona Plus Liquor

Best shopping experience in a market I ever had!! They got a wide range of Brazilian products including alcohol and meats!! Also staff were super helpful and friendly, a lovely Brazilian lady gives a mini tour through the store, recommend the best goodies and told us the days they get the deliveries!!

What a fantastic well thought out presentation layout. Very clean and bright with lots of space to move around and browse. Great gift ideas and quirky ones too that bring a smile to one's face. Every single item is readily at hand for the shopper to grab. Staff are so friendly too. Cheers and well done guys, you've won me to come back and shop again

Kindest most accommodating staff, always have stock and open even on public holidays. They work with the community and locals to provide a great service, my son has to go in the mornings on occasion when he has achieved something special to tell Jay. They also work around the clock to provide for customers, sometimes being there all day when understaffed. Please appreciate these wonderful humans!

Very good … requires more Aloe Vera … please visit this store it’s the very best store in the land you can get a lot of things mmmm including a chocolate or log bag!!!! Yeeeeeaaaaahhhh

Love this IGA because you can find all the Brazilian cousine!! Special King's Acai freezer! Highly recommended!

Large bright store with big selection of goods and has a deli to. It's a little out of the way for most shoppers being on the other side of the tracks but still worth the extra few steps, a change is always welcome.

Manager Demi delivers excellent customer service. Very efficient, responsive by txt messaging and went extra mile offering to preorder GF products for me in advance and set aside so I get regular supply. Also showed me where all GF products were and which were good sellers. IGA Altona consistently provides personalised friendly service for locals, always have something new or different to try.

Clean, friendly staff, great variety... love the lay out. OJ machine is AMAZING! Fantastic 'local card' discount. I even had help carrying groceries to my car once by the Manager. Much prefer IGA and the personal touch to the bigger supermarkets.

This place went above and beyond to get me my products and I can’t thank them enough for their help. As a coeliac with Asian heritage, it’s absolutely impossible to get gluten-free meals down here in Altona and it’s surrounds. As such, I rely on New Chinese Garden’s range of gluten-free Meal Kits to help tide me over. In recent weeks, and much to my immense disappointment, all my usual local stockists of said products had seemingly stopped selling my meal kits all at once.

After having spoken to the manager of IGA Altona down at Pier Street, she helpfully offered to see if she could get my products into her store in the coming weeks. While not guaranteed that she could indeed get them, I still accepted her help.

To my relief and surprise, I received a call a week or so later from her informing me that she had managed to get my meal kits in! I couldn’t quite believe it! Naturally, I went to the store as soon as I possibly could and managed to stock up on them. 🙌🏻

I really can’t thank IGA Altona enough for all their help, especially their store manager; being a coeliac down here in the west is difficult enough as it is, and her willingness to cater towards my needs is something I truly and dearly appreciate. Her actions really drive home how important it is to support small businesses!

This is my new local supermarket. First impression: Suprisingly big! The deli has some great ready made options aside from the standard fare like fresh seafood, poultry, deli meats and roast chooks. Liquor section pretty well stocked too 🤘

Loved the selection of Brazilian products. Please keep stocking them. I live a bit far from Altona but every time I'm around i stop at IGA for the Brazilian products

Friendly and most helpful staff. The lady at the checkout had time to have a chat with my daughter. I felt that the service offered was much better than Coles and Safeway.

I thought that "customer service" was a lost thing but IGA hit the nail on the head and restored my faith!

Huge supermarket with a great range of groceries. Clean and well organised. There is even a carpark that can be used by customers, it's quite handy when the street is busy.

Really good IGA, I would probably agree with other reviews that its not the best place to do a full weekly shop but its not so much that kind of place, you can get the really good quality imported stuff, deli is good, cheese selection great, good pate and bakery, all the things you would like the big supermarkets to sell but they dont

Best little store around! Amazing selection of hot food (which you can buy cold to make for dinner) really friendly and kind staff, wide variety and prices are also very decent!

Altona IGA has really improved. Loving the fresh orange juice machine. Lots of variety and.noticed alot more specials. Better variety than the competitors up the road. Well done Iga

Huge range of fresh food, great deli and Michelino's range of sourdough breads. Quieter than Coles. Relax with a cappuccino and croissant.

Very good, there is one of a few places that has a lot of Brazilian food with a good price and excellent quality.
