This is a wide dining space, serving authentic Afghani style cuisine, all their kebabs are freshly made, and heaps of items on the menu. Abbas and Javed, both of them always stay on top of customer service, fulfilling the customer needs. Do visit this place with your family and friends, if you are thinking to hangout with your buddies craving some delicious Afghani food, and Pizzas.

Had a lovely dinner at the restaurant. Spacious, clean and well organised interior. The food was tasty and flavourful.

Kebabs are charcoal grilled and tasty.

My rate is reflected at the time of food quality matches with price.
Afghani style service is quiet customer service and I rate for the time between order to serve food⏳, hygiene, extra sauce and salad😋
Atmosphere including dining looks and if any music or friendliness sfaff🤩

My favourite Qabuli Pulao was delicious.
I will come back to try some more.

I’m craving for some Middle Eastern food especially kebab and biryani. I tried this place in Sunshine as I already tried the other Afghan resto. This place is terrific! I mean for this meal is only $17, so affordable without compensating the quality and taste of the food. It was delicious and authentic. The salad is fresh, look at those greens. And that green sauce is refreshing. I could taste the yoghurt and mint in it. I forgot how they call it. The place is clean. It was early arvo when I came and it wasn’t choc-o-block yet. A must try, highly rated Afghan restaurant in the area.

As a lover of Afghan food I was keen to try out this offering in the west. It did not disappoint.
The food was quick, fresh and delicious.
The staff were very kind and friendly.
We felt welcomed and the vibe was nice and relaxed.
Will be back to try the rest of the menu.

I’ve definitely found my new Afghan food place! Huge variety on the menu, terrific prices, a warm welcoming atmosphere and great customer service are just bonuses on top of how good the food tastes! The mixed kebab is absolutely delicious, easily as good as Afghan Master Kebab around the corner. We also got the HSP which was an extremely generous portion and very tasty. Highly recommended!

First time having Afghanistan cuisine, we were so amazed by the quality and quantity of the food.

My mate and I both ordered 1/2 Chicken Kebabs and ended up with a whole table of food - soup, salad, dipping sauces, naan bread, fried rice and most importantly, 2 halves of freshly and perfectly seasoned and grilled charcoal chicken. And the whole table cost us only $19. What an amazing value!

Not to mention the great service and well-maintained interior and friendly and skillful staff. I noticed the fully loaded pizzas when they were made and we will definitely come here every now and then and give everything on the menu a try.

The best Kebabs you can buy this side of Melbourne west. The hot chips are the best, dip in garlic and Coriander sauce, And the Afghan Special pizza is to die for. So nice and Yummy. Even the kids would love it. Great prices too.. Tens stars all year long. Family friendly sitting. If you love your meat then eat here. Best Best kebab and meals ever😋💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

Fancy-grade restaurant when it comes to food, love the qabuli rice with lamb shank, pretty much everything we ordered was was eaten to the last bit..prices are very competetive too $20 on average including drink.highly recommended, only downside I think is the toilet, it's clean but needs a bit of upgrade.

Afghan Star was my first ever Afghani food experience and I was impressed with the quality of the food. I've only ever had takeaway from Afghan Star until this evening and everything I've had takeaway has been great. Generous serves and everything is so flavourful.

Tonight, we decided to eat in and we were blown away with the freshness and standard of the food. I already thought it was amazing as takeaway but it was top notch served hot and fresh. So far we've had Lamb qorma with qabuli rice, chicken kebabs, tikka kebab (lamb skewers), jooja kebab (chicken skewers), chalaw kebab (mince kebab), chicken biryani (this one's spicy). And the bread would have to be my fav. You can have it with anything. It's giant, fluffy with a woodfired crunch to it.

Restaurant is basic and staff are shy but obliging. The quality, flavour and generous serves of the food definitely makes up for it! I'll struggle to go back to having it as takeaway seeing as how much we enjoyed the food dining in. 3 people fed for $60 incl 2 cans of soft drink. But we'll get at least another 3 individual meals from the leftovers. Just ask to takeaway the leftovers and they'll give you containers to DIY. Highly recommend!!

Don't be fooled by the unassuming exterior and stripped back decor, this place will take you on a flavoursome journey from Sunshine to the other side of the world. This is surely one of the best Afghan restaurants in Melbourne and well worth the trip to the Western suburbs. We had the Qabuli Palaw, which comes as a generous serve of aromatic rice with sultanas and carrots, lamb curry, and salad. The mantu was sublime (dumplings filled with meat with a tomato and yoghurt topping). The service was lovely. This is place is a must-go-to for foodies.

After the first visit, this place has straight away becoming our go to kebab place. Aside from the great taste, their portion and variety is just what you would like to find in an afghan food. Curry, kebab, mixed doner just to name a few. Their portion is very generous and their wait staff is attentive and friendly.

If you do not worry about having a meal in a fancy fitout and flashy store. This place is definitely recommended for a quick Afghan fix for with a homey experience and taste.
