Lazat

I've been coming here for years and seen the changes in ownership throughout. No matter what though, they've always served good food and great service. We went there for mothers day dinner yesterday. Big group of 20 and I was surprised being how busy they are, the food came out promptly and were staggered well. All requests are greeted with a smile and the restaurant is really family friendly. Their kung pow chicken and steamed fish dish is my fave.

Enjoyed dinner with my partner. Dishes we ordered were delicious, customer service was excellent. Definitely worth visiting.

Having not been to a Malaysian-ish restaurant for a while we were hankering for some authentic Asian cuisine.

A quick google search brought up lazat.

A little tricky to find the entrance and being met with a rather tired exterior had us worried but those thoughts swiftly vanished when. We tasted the food.

We had ordered seafood laksa, char kway teau, beef rendang, roti chanai with curry, nasi lemak, wonton noodle soup and ice kacang.

I'll cut to the chase.

The standout was the roti chanai. Best I have ever had in my life including those from Malaysia! Big statement yes. Colour me surprised, totally.

Next nasi lemak and beef rendang in equal second.

Then laksa.

The others are ok.

Give the ice kacang a miss.

What a gem!
No idea how this place, which has been open for 8 years, is not famous, booked out nor super expensive. It is extraordinary.
Last night Lazat was busy, several large groups seemed to be having banquets. Still, they found room for my wife and myself and we felt very welcome.
The front of house staff are gracious. They're bright, courteous and charming, neither aloof nor familiar.
We ordered quickly from their nicely laid-out menus. San choy bow and lobak for entree, I had a light beer and my wife had a glass of Brown Bros Moscato. These arrived quickly and were amazing. My main was Beef randang and roti whereas my wife had King prawns and vegetables with sides of coconut rice and green beans belacan.
We were so into these amazing dishes we forgot to take photos. The lively happy environment and incredible flavours had to be experienced!
All in all we were in and out in a little over an hour, so happy and so impressed! Well done Lazat!

Nice and yummy restaurant with efficient and fast service. We had satays, as Sam beef, honey prawns and kangkong and the meal was absolutely yum. The assam beef gravy was simply divine, with a hint of nyonya and Singapore chilli crab taste.

Delicious and freshly good great meals , entree and dessert. Hired the private room for the group with great sound for a videoke night. Customer friendly staff like Nhi & Yen to guide you on your orders. Thank you for your service and stomach filling foods.

Long time diner, first time review. Last night’s meal consisted of roti with curry sauce, salt and pepper chicken ribs and Singapore noodles. The ribs were delicious - crispy outer coating and juicy chicken. The noodles are our go-to staple - huge portion, lovely flavour and large prawns. Other favs include Char Kway Teow and beef with curry sauce.

First time trying this restaurant - amazing food and service. Dishes are reasonably sized and reasonably priced too.
We had the beef rendang and the roti canai and chicken curry. Both dishes tasted really good!

We'll definitely be coming back here.

Great authentic food. Nice place for a quiet lunch and for less than $20 for 2 dishes is good value. Friendly service. Char kway teow and laksa are very good.

I have had very good experiences here. I have found service yo be friendly (sometimes they even open the door for is), food to be very good quality, and prices to be reasonable and consistent with the area. Location is fine, and ambience is also fine. Clean and well maintained.

Man, I love this place, service and the food. These people ALWAYS serve food with a smile. Just 5 of us in the restaurant when we came in today and they still gave it their all and made our meals Amazing! Usually this place is packed and rightly so coz of their amazing quality!

Super tasty food. Very well done and authentic.

We ordered for entree lobak and pan-fried dumplings. I thoroughly enjoyed the lobak, although found the dumplings to be nothing special - ok, but nothing special. My fiancée however wasn't overly keen on the lobak, but loved the dumplings!! Each to their own I guess :)

For main we shared a steamed barramundi with ginger sauce and we both found it absolutely delicious!!! Highly, highly recommended!

We also grabbed a side of garlic string beans and that was super flavoursome and really enjoyable too.

If you're ever in the area and feel like a nice night out, come down to Lazat and check it out!!

They also have a private function room with a karaoke set up for hire.

Great service and really good food. A must if you like Malaysian cuisine.

Lovely little spot that has become our local. The staff are always wonderful and the food is amazing. The prices are good and the staff are very accommodating.
Sitting near the bar area I wouldn’t recommend though only because of the blender being very loud when I’m use.

I came with a group of ladies to your restaurant on Sunday noon and I was a first time customer there as my friend invited me there and I was so impressed with your superb customer service, your staff greeted me with a beautiful smile and they are very attentive to our needs. Love their food!!! Had to order more as it was that good wanted to stuff myself up and I don’t want to end up craving for it as I live far. Roti Canai, Mixed satay skewers and beef rendang nasi lemak were our go to’s!! Straightforward, unpretentious food

Great place for a meal. Very generous portions and fairly priced. Authentic taste with what I ordered and awesome service. Will certainly go back if I'm up this way again.
