Good for a country town and probably the best chips in the suburb if you get the right batch. Friendly staff. Do be careful of eating outside however; trucks carrying livestock sometimes drive past the storefront and you may catch a whiff of animal odours (including the smell of manure) which may ruin your appetite if you're not used to it.

Burgers are unreal, like old times, burgers this good are few and far between these days, definitely worth the stop if you're heading through A+++

My granddaughter took me there on Wednesday to buy some of their chips nice chips not oily like some places friendly staff if your out that way drop in try some of their chips😋

Best fried chicken I have ever had. I've visited QLD twice and have been to Nanango Shorties CFC both times and thankfully my second visit here was as good as my first visit.
The chicken is so tasty and not greasy at all.

There are always seats available to eat at.

Staff are friendly and call out your name when the food is ready so that you can sit down and relax while you wait.

Best burger I have had in ages, was so big I couldn’t eat it all so my partner had to eat half! He had the flathead fillets and said they where better than the fish we got at the fish shop on Bowen. Bush beats barrier reef! Well done to the young ladies running the shop they are doing an amazing job

They are friendly and have got some pretty good food, I don't honestly eat here a lot but when I eat out it is one of the few options I will go and buy from.

Their Potato Scallop is very good, crunchy out side and soft inside, I am also partial to their burgers, only recent I discovered they also do Hot dogs on Tuesdays, they only make 6, and once they gone that's that, so get in early if us want to try one

Excellent customer service, great food chicken, fish, burgers very hard to beat anywhere. Very friendly staff. Thank you for your kind remarks on our 58 wedding anniversary. It Just made our day complete.

Always loved the bacon and egg burgers here. The hot chips and gravy are the best and their chicken nuggets are all real and extremely tasty.

The best Country Fried Chicken I have ever had and I judge all others by Shortiez standards. They are also the best and friendliest Takeaway in the SE Qld, their burgers and chips alone are to die for.

Been over a year since I've been here and my review above. they are still the best value for money takeaway I have had the pleasure to dine at, ever!
