If you like a personalized experience and great drinks then this is the bar you must go to in Adelaide. Vinnie was great and gave input for what I wanted but didn't just serve anything I asked and even recommended not getting what I asked for sometimes! This was actually great because this lead to a better drink and better experience. Btw there's no menu! Go here if you're comfortable talking about your drink and having a personal experience. Vinnie is a character :)

At all the alcohol I tried with my friends, I think the zombie I like pretty much, and the godfather is very smooth especially I like the intense scent of almond, for reference I listed all the names of the picture, but I really couldn’t recall the name of “I forgot” that drink.

Genuinely CAN NOT understand how anyone would not give this place 5-stars.
Everything from the theatre of the entry, through to the welcome chicken broth and in particular, Vinny's knowledge (not only of drinks), but also the heritage of the drink/alcohol's design...was beyond impressive. Needless to say, each cocktail was delicious.
We also found the booking process online to be very fast (quick response); and the price/cost of the cocktails to be quite cheap in comparison to what we pay in our home-town (another Aust capital city) with the quality of the alcohol alchemy also not being higher to at Bar Peripheral. Genuinely very impressive, and well done! Big fan.

The best bar in Adelaide for alcohol connoisseurs. Recommended by multiple people and it does not disappoint. You make your requests on what you like in your drinks and the staff will make recommendations in return (no set drink menu). Keep in mind the max group booking is 4 to keep the drinking experience pure. They are open till late on weekends to boot!

Went in November. Lovely atmosphere , great personalised service from Vini and Tom. I really enjoyed the cocktail guide and enjoyed the stories from Vini. highly recommend :)

Simply incredible - don’t want to detract from the experience by sharing too much … enough to say this was the best bar experience I have had. Vini - you are a true master of your art. No drinks menu ? That freaked me out initially but run with it - let Vini know what you like and what you want … great value, great service - a night to remember

During these years in Adelaide, I have been looking for a bar, a place where I can have a few rounds of drinks with my friends and relax. Those Bars that we have been are either too noisy or the cocktails made are not to our appetite. Finally, one day last year, I discovered about this newly opened Bar, Bar Peripheral, which is a only 12-seat Bar that was forced to close due to the epidemic shortly after its opening.

"NOT FOR EVERYONE".

The location of the bar is on Pulteney Street, which I am familiar with, but the young ladies who went with me did not find it after walking pass it a few times.
Knock on the door and wait to be greeted.
There are 12 seats only, therefore, better reserve for your spot.
No MENU but there is an elaborate cocktail introduction.
After seated, you will be handed a hot towel to clean your hands and a small cup of homemade chicken soup as a welcome beverage.
Then the bartender will ask your preferences and make a cocktail that only belongs to your taste according to your preferences.
The overall decoration of the bar is just perfect to me, the dim lighting, the old wine cabinet, the right music...
Although the bartender (the owner) has an "ice cube face", he is very enthusiastic. During the epidemic, he provided chicken soup to people in need for free when he was obviously forced to close his business. The owner has his own ideas and attitudes, and will never compromise on his dreams just like the most common sentence on his INS: "We never compromise."

Drinks at @bar_peripheral: this is such an amazing place! It's a 12 seater bar with a very cool ambiance. The bartender will make personalised drinks for you based on what you like. There's no specific drinks menu. Super cool place! All the drinks were so yummy 😍🤤😍🤤. And just in case you're wondering, all the drinks are reasonably priced at 22$ each!

- The white lady: with lemon juice and gin
- Lychee gin cocktail
- Pina colada with fresh pineapple, coconut cream, and dessicated coconut: this was definitely the best pina colada I have ever had 😍😍😍.
- Sloe gin fizz with lemon soda
- The Lucy: gin, green tea, elderflower, gin
- Special drink: cacao liqueur, raspberry liqueur, Pedro ximenez - our friend said he likes raspberry chocfruit, and wanted a drink like that, so this magic concoction was created, and it tasted amazing!!

It was hard to find but eventually we saw the small engraved plaque on black door. We were impressed when it opened to an Aladdin’s Cave of spirits.
Vini asks you about your drink preferences and creates cocktails suited to you. The process of making the cocktails involved flair and precision and felt more like a ceremony than being poured a drink. The results were delicious and the atmosphere relaxing.
What a great place to impress a date or to have a chill with friends.

I decided to have my birthday drinks at the Bar Peripheral and it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had :)

Both the owners were so hospitable and made this night incredibly special, and I got to pat their dog too at the end of the night!

Such an incredible experience, if you are sick of the same old drinks and want to learn from a true master whilst having your eyes opened to a world of new flavours this is the place for you. The atmosphere is super chilled, welcoming and intriguing.

The best Cocktail Bar I've been to in Australia. Passionate and professional owner who prides himself on only serving the finest cocktails, no short cuts here. Also, the only bar I've been to that correctly serves the Painkiller with Pussers Rum, the drink of the Senior Service (Royal Navy). If your up to it, try the Zombie!

Insanely good. It may be dramatic of me to say, but it was a life changing experience coming here. I can’t wait to come back. I found my new favourite cocktail and learned so much information from Vini. Bro knows his stuff. Also, an extremely funny fellow.

This place is fantastic. Top experience for cocktails in Adelaide and what an experience it is. Knock on the door for entry, you're then given a hot towel to clean your hands and a small cup of chicken consommé. Drinks are created elegantly and to perfection. No menu, just an incredible bar tender who knows what to do. Small snacks are served with the drinks. Everything is absolutely done to perfection with care, passion and skill.
