Jimna Base Camp

Really enjoyed our stay at Jimna base camp. Peaceful campsite with well-equipped and clean facilities. Pete was very friendly and more than happy to help us with directions and suggestions for what to see in the area. He put on a mean fish and chips on the Friday night too! Good campsite for families and groups.

Thank you for another wonderful stay Pete. You accommodated our group very well with the friendly services provided, food was great and good value. We camped here, Jimna is surrounded by forests, creeks and natural beauty. We'll be back!

Had a fantastic overnight camping at Jimna Base Camp after a hard day's bikepacking up the surrounding hills.

Hot showers (VERY WELCOME), clean water, ice cream, coffee, and thanks to there being a big group, there was even pizza and beer.

Huge, flat, grassy space for camping surrounded by trees. Koala sounds during the night and dawn chorus of birds in the morning. EXCELLENT.

Pete and the crew were super helpful and welcoming.

This campsite is nice and quiet.
Our friendly manager Pete sells ice, coffee, snacks and fish and chips. We will definitely come camping here again, thanks Pete!

Amazing, inexpensive campsite set in the beautiful forests in Binya. Owner is friendly and accommodating and a great source of local knowledge. Has a small shop (great coffee) and shower/toilet facilities. Looking forward to our next visit

Super friendly folks, and a great flat space to put down your tent. Plus a lovely hot shower, and I am sold. My second time at Jimna Base Camp, will certainly be back next year!

Jimna Base Camp is the perfect spot if you are looking to “escape the big smoke”. Sometimes it’s the little things in life such as being able to see the stars at night, hearing the breeze through the trees or breathing in fresh air. Jimna Base Camp has camping available and can also cater to large events, we recently held our wedding there. There is a house onsite we utilised along with ample camping for our guests. We made use of the ceremony corner and there was also plenty of space for a marquee for our reception.

Great camp ground. Friend owner, full of great local advice. Highly recommend.

Great camping spot, there are lots of trails around, and also has hot showers.

Up there over the Easter Long weekend, great spot , Pete a wealth of knowledge of the area and makes a great cappuccino.

Great spot for campers wanting a central point to fall back to while exploring the region. Very popular place for Adventure Bike riders or anyone on motorcycles out for a day ride or extended stay.

Awesome get away with all the creature comforts, very quiet and peaceful. Pete the owner is a top bloke and a fellow biker. It’s a refreshing change to have a happy accomodating host. Good job Pete and your coffee is spot on 🙂 I’ll be back for sure 👌🏻

We have attended the Jimna Rocks Festival for the past 3 years at Jimna Base Camp.

With the old school building, the old principals residence and the toilet and shower blocks, there is remarkable flexibility if you want to book these faculties for a stay or retreat.

The cricket oval provides places for activities l or camping and there is a bar/ meeting area on the hill overlooking the oval.

There are all sorts of adventures waiting on the doorstep, so this is indeed a wonderful base camp for mischief.

Heaps of motorbike tracks for dirt or adventure bikes of all riding experience levels.

Thank Pete for your hospitality as I rode through on my Race to the Rock 2023 adventure. Pete was dot watching and knew who I was as I rolled up and had all the cold treats I so desperately needed to refuel me. Thank you for your hospitality it isn't forgotten

It’s a beautiful old school, with a tennis and basketball court (equipment provided). Jimna base camp is an old school, so there is a mini playground and a large school oval (where you stay).
There is a cricket pitch as well on the oval.
Camp manager, Pete, is an amazing bloke with all the best places to explore, and he sells coffee, ice cream and snacks at the front building.
Very amazing campsite, 100% recommend, and waking up early means you get to see some wallaby’s/kangaroos!!!

Nice spot to camp. Camp area is a former cricket oval so ground is very flat although is also extremely hard making pegging and unpegging tents a bit of a chore.

A truly amazing place to camp and walk. Hot showers, immaculate toilets and school house is top notch!! Hole in the Wall local coffee shop at the historical Jimna Hall is brilliant! Art Gallery, history story board, and crafts. Worth booking for family events!
