We recently stayed in the Dingo Dam Cottage and had a blast of a weekend. The cottage was great and gives a real sense of settlement life all those years ago. The farm itself was beautiful and we really enjoyed the 4wd trek over to the river for a swim and kayak. Our highlight was the horse riding, which our 4 year old daughter said was 'the best thing ever'!! Steve and Rhys were great hosts and welcomed us onto their farm with open arms. We cant wait to go back for a longer stay next time.

We spent a long weekend camping at the fabulous farm stay. The property is gorgeous and you really feel secluded as there is lots of space between each cottage and campsite. However, if you prefer to be closer to the main homestead you could stay at in the cottage at Dingo Dam. We had a quick look and I would be really tempted to book this next time as it is very cute and rustic as it is one of the original buildings on the property.

We have two young kids who had the time of their lives riding horses, “moo’ing” at cows, kayaking and playing with rocks around the river. Superb.

Our hosts Steve and Rhys were so welcoming and accommodating. They have a little slice of heaven and I would encourage you to spend some time there.

5 STARS PLUS SOME FOR THIS AMAZING FARM STAY!
Stayed here for 3 nights 4 days.
I have to say it was the best break i have had in years! The property is true heaven on earth.
There is so much to do and explore. Or just relax.
The host Steve is extremely helpful and kind. He is a true gentleman and very considerate to peoples needs.
We stayed in the Orange cottage, which has everything you need for a perfect stay.
We are heading back in Jan for a few more nights and this time we will be staying in the Dingo cottage. Such a quaint beautiful treasure.
The gorge accommodation also looks very cozy with incredible views. Great camp areas also!
We went riding quite a bit and as a life time of riding, the horses are just amazing. They are well cared for and beautiful nature.
Perfect for beginners or experienced.
I cant wait to get back on and explore more.
Steve takes all precautions with his horses and riders, as safety is number 1 to him.
I have ridden at other places, but nothing compares to here.
The horses are in fantastic condition and so gentle.
Exploring is a must here. 11000 acres of brilliant land!
The views from the top of some of the peaks are the best ever!
We 4 wheel drove to the gorge which is a safe but very fun track.
The gorge, well you have to see it to believe it! SPECTACULAR!
If you want to kayak, please pay attention to what Steve says regarding this, as people can get caught up in the rapids and that is a must to avoid!
He has great maps to help with all of this. Start and STOP guide.
Thank you Steve for your wonderful hospitality and cant wait to return! This place has now become my favourite and will be returning time and time again!
Everyone that has an appreciation for our beautiful county, horses and all kinds of animals ,
ITS A MUST!!

This place is a little slice of heaven - Well worth it!! We stayed at Dingo Dam and the Cave Falls Safari Tents, both amazing. Safari Tents had an amazing view of the gorge and both spots had everything we needed. We did horse riding, hiking and canoed up the gorge. Heaps to do and great for kids. We'll be back.

Steve’s description of the track into the bottom gorge camping areas was spot on. The 9.7 km 4x4 track tested our off road camper trailer for the first time and we were glad it didn’t rain. That would be a totally different story. We stayed just after the floods of NSW so the river was up high and a lot of vegetation growth. For this reason, we found the grass too high at Riverview campsite and opted for Kings camp as the grass wasn’t as high. Due to the floods, it wasn’t easy to get to the river so we found a creek 2 kms back up the track to have a quick wash and fresh water. But it was simply stunning and the dogs loved their runs around the camp. Great secluded spot that we would highly recommend.

Arrived at this beautiful location greeted by the owner, who was extremely accommodating. We travelled further into his property to gorge view lodge.
The setting was out of this world. swimming, fishing, hiking, and the serenity is just Indescribable!!

A great 4wd experience plenty of wild life opt for peace or adventure.

We did the horse riding with the owner who made us feel very safe and comfortable.

This is camping at its best. Take water , although we boiled the river water and drank it.

Loved our stay at Wave Hill, the property was well kept and the owners steve and sue were lovely. Highly recommend this place if you want a unique homestay experience. There are several areas to stay on the property, we stayed in the Dingo Dam cottage, but we 4wd an hour to get to the waterfalls and passed there other accomodations which look great for another stay another time. We are looking forward to coming back. Its a beautiful part in the country.

Wow, What an amazing location. We stayed at the Riverview camp site and were blown away by how beautiful this place is. Flat camp grounds, close to waters edge and outstanding views. This is by far the most amazing camp site we have ever stayed at and will now be our regular holiday destination. Big thanks to Sue and Steve for having us.

Absolutely beautiful spot, website photos do not do it justice. Will be back again soon I hope.

Just a few comments which may be helpful to guests:
We used about 1/4 tank of diesel getting to back channel from Grafton (Inc a return trip back to copmanhurst to get cash which we forgot. DO NOT FORGET CASH!!). There is NO SERVO in Copmanhurst so fuel up in Grafton.
Bring your own firewood as most of the fallen stuff can be a bit of a mission to collect and haul back to campsite.
