Clarance River camping ground at Copmanhurst

A beautiful place to go camping. And the best part is that it's free! Toilets at a small walking distance. Boat ramp available and if you want you can go for a swim. We did get a mouse in our car, so be aware. The cows always come to get a drink and a quick dip. You can spot a lot of wildlife, I even saw a kingfisher and a lot of shags.

First and most importantly, its FREE :), then it has a pub within walking distance and public toilets.
The road down to the river (Lawrence St) is dirt and corrugated but at least its not very long. Been there last weekend (Jan) and the water was like a bathtub and no strong current so very suitable to just sit and float with a few beers in hand after a long day ion the saddle .

Great spot by the river with access for tinnies and kayaks. Cattle wander up and down the river bank and are quite friendly.

Relaxing! Kids had a blast in the shallows. Wide open space. What more could you ask for in a camp spot!

If you just want to go somewhere to relax but at the same time not too far from civilization, this will be a good spot.

There is currently no area to camp due to the recent floods changing the landscape. The down hill road to the river has washouts. There is camping available at the Rodeo grounds for $5 p/p but camping area has been minimised due to the river bank erosion.
