Spent 3 days / 2 nights here on a package with the excellent meals included, plus the sunset wildlife tour and the lava tubes tour. Hands down one of the most beautiful and amazing places to visit. The fact that it only lies 180km west of Cairns makes it easily accessible by car, even 2WD. Staff here are amazing and make the experience so much more enjoyable. Kudos to Undara. This is a not-to-miss experience that has to be on anyone’s bucket list.

It's a while back, 2013 ish, but still great memories. Loved the outdoor breakfast, bonfire and the excellent staff. The guides are world class. Visit to the lava tube is excellent. If you can, take a sunset tour and visit the bat cave to watch the bats leave en mass to go hunting....

One of the true accessible Outback gems and an absolute MUST when visiting the Cairns or Townsville area. Beautiful surroundings, fantastic and professional staff, accommodation for all likes and budget. Highly recommended!

Great park, nice (free) hikes are plentiful if you don’t want to pay for the tours. Nice restaurant. Bushfires ahoy. (5 star would include a kids playground…)

The Archway Tour and Evening Tours were great. Overall the service of the staff was good. We had a caravan site for two nights - the water pressure is bad - had to keep filling our tanks and using on board pump for water pressure. We thought we treat ourselves the first evening to happy hour after setting up but wasted $45 on the Ploughmans Platter with a bottle of wine special - the platter is normally $29 on its own, um no, don’t do it. And, the bottle of wine was seriously cheap nasty stuff. Just enjoy a beer and order the side of chips gif happy hour.

We stayed 2 nights at Undarra in a Pioneer Hut. The cabin was good size. The bed was comfortable and there was also a comfortable lounge suite. The shower was roomy with plenty of hot water - it’s not fully enclosed and water can spray out onto the floor of the ensuite. The aircon worked ok. There was a small fridge and a kettle. However, nothing else to support independent travellers. Fortunately we carry all the necessary equipment for making simple meals and cleaning up and were able to breakfast on the very pleasant verandah. No kitchen sink meant utensils had to be washed in the ensuite hand basin. On the first night we dined at the restaurant. The food was very ordinary so the second night we made our own dinner. The tours to the lava tubes were excellent.

It was our first visit to Undara last weekend and we enjoyed the experience. The gorgeous train carriage was clean and compact. We did the Archway tour (the guide was informative but we would have enjoyed some more local stories and banter.) We highly recommend catching the sunset from the Bluff lookout. The restaurant had delicious meals at a reasonable price with a good wine selection. The staff were pleasant but we were disappointed that the communal fire had to be put out whilst a group of us were still enjoying it!
