Tuncurry Waste Management Centre

Took my bottles and cans for recycling and was very impressed by the young man working there. He helped me unload my containers. Very friendly and efficient staff. Easy process.

The tip shop is the place to go, interesting to see what bargains you can score. Fun just to see what's been salvaged & for sale at quite cheap prices. Got a nice glazed planter & saucer, a foldable work bench in reasonable condition & a few other bits & bobs for $30. Thought I did OK.
Recommend as an interesting time

My car broke down at the tip yesterday and being without my mobile went into the weigh station where Sonia was so helpful and sympathetic to my situation I thought it important that she gets a positive review. Apart from the tip being a very well run and reasonably priced setup, the service and help from Sonia made a difficult situation that much easier. Thank you again!

The recycling centre here was one of the first in the state and is still excellent. I often buy plants here at ridiculous process. They refurbish broken bicycles too in a separate workshop. They also have a treasure auction where you can bid on particular items of interest. I bought a fabulous new front door here for$25 which would have been more than 10 times that in the shop. If you like op shops you'll love this place. It also had disability access and parking. And it doesn't drink!

is a terrific resource. Have visited often since moving here 4 years ago. Disposing of rubbish is quick and easy and the shop is brilliant! Thanks to everyone there. The staff are fantastic!!

The waste management centre is a good place for dumping stuff and recycling cans.

The return and earn here is really good, the staff empty your bags and the automatic machine counts the cans and bottles for you. The staff are friendly and helpful, never had an issue coming here.

In the second picture, is the return and earn place, however this is an old photo, it is a building now and has parking out the front of it.

Well run large site, clean transfer station and recycling centre, clearly sign-posted with knowledgeable and friendly help and info from staff. There is a good tip shop, bikes workshop and garden/community area.

The Men's Shed is great too. Cliffy who runs the shed was generous to give a lass as myself a top tour of the equipment and site.

A well presented recycling shop with friendly staff and very reasonable prices, bicycle recycling area has limited hours, but is a great initiative. Leading the area in sustainability.

The young man who works in the Return and Earn section of the depot is the most incredibly patient and diligent worker. He is to be commended on his attitude and work ethic.

Very well setup, helpful staff, an opportunity for us all to reuse discarded items, grab a bargain & have a bit of fun - excellent toilet facilities.
