Alstonville Gymnastics Academy

We have taken our child to Sharon for several years, after carefully considering which gymnastics group would be best for our child. Although it meant a little more travelling, we chose Alstonville Gymnastics Academy (AGA) because of Sharon, her facilities, and club size. Sharon is a great teacher with excellent technique, but there is also a focus on having fun and enjoying the activity and supporting the team to do their best. Small things like little break out drills that sees the gymnasts have a little fun come together 3-6 months later when you realise Sharon has actually been cementing subtle technique and muscle memory for the gymnasts to complete their future skills perfectly. Results also showed at competitions, with multiple positions on the podium at Qld comps against much bigger clubs, including a memorable AGA full podium at the second comp we attended. Importantly, the focus on young girls (and boys) health, wellbeing, strength and camaraderie (rather than size or differences) was exactly what we were looking for in a gymnastics club.
