Lilydale free camping

Very peaceful great river to swim in. You can take yr dogs with you, and they don't have to be on a lead.. so much freedom for them and NO prickels.

This is a very popular free camp with NO TOILETS or Showers or drinking water facilities at all so you must be self-sufficient. It's a beautiful relaxing drive and rest stop.
Sits alongside the river. It is a very large area, so big rigs can fit in. Swimming is great for kids and is all river rock bases. Please remember to close to the gate properly to keep to the farmers' cattle safe and TAKE YOUR RUBBISH AND TOILET PAPER WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE.

Good place for swimming/jumping off bridge. No ammenities due to flooding. Many pebble beaches, recommend footwear. Water is decent depth, more on the shallow end near the bridge, current can be strong at times and warm at time of review. The spot is in paddocks so there are cows and droppings at the river/bank.

Beautiful relaxing spot found by mistake and too good to just go past so stayed for 3 days.

Great place with very little flies, warm water temperature in the river (Christmas period), many fireplaces.
There is no wc.

Great open space with beautiful views of the Clarence river. Highly recommend coming to see it for yourself.

Great free camp right next to the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. Friendly cows wandering around all day. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful place but please stop cutting down the Trees for firewood there is wood t and be purchased on way into camp. No Trees no bank no shade no camp

Top camp! Very tidy, lots of room.

We love this campground! It can get busy during long weekends and public holidays, but the river is beautiful. Watch out for the many cows and bulls wandering around the campsite. You can swim, fish, bike and hike. The river is subject to flooding though, and sometimes they need to remove the amenities block when the river gets up too high.

This is the perfect free camp! Grassy shady by a beautiful river. You have to be early or lucky to get the best spots. The river water is drinkable, its fantastic to swim in, you can canoe up or down the river or go on an all day run down the river. It's one of the camps on the longest canoe route in Australia. There is a flush toilet. All the firewood has all been scabbed by previous campers. There is a farm 2k away that sells bags for $10 or collect it from the side of the rd on your way out from Grafton before Copmanhurst.

Great place 2 kayak and swim - bit of a current but only in the middle of the river. Clean toilets heaps of camping places. Good for caravans and campa trailers and tents! Heaps of fire places ready for wood to burn.

Great place to stay. Plenty of space. No toilets but some are a few mins up the road atthe show ground. Will be returning when the rain leaves.

Great spot not far from copmanhurst for basic supplies and hotel 😂

Free bush camping, toilets at entrance to a large camp ground. Site are either along river or just off the river (30-50mtrs).
Water flows over a stoney river bed..great for kids on blow up beds etc...top place to camp...Grafton a major town is about 40klms away for supplies.

Great spot nice views, pick the right spot or you may have a cow or two ripping your ropes out 👍
