PKG Seafood Wholesale Tweed Heads West

This is my go to for fresh seafood. Ever since moving to the area, discovering this gem has been a game changer. The selection is better than another fish shop just up the road, and the prices are a lot better too!

The service is great, and they go above and beyond, like cutting your bugs for you and getting them ready for eating.

The cooked seafood on-site is great too, always fresh, nothing ever tastes like it’s been cooked with old oil and it’s not greasy which leaves you feeling gross.

Don’t bother going anywhere else in tweed. PKG is unassuming, but the quality and value is there.

I visit the the area twice yearly for several weeks and eat here more than anywhere to enjoy the finest range of Fish Fillets beautifully cooked to order while enjoying the location at Estuary water's edge.

I have been going to this fish and chip place for 3/4 of my life (which is a long time). They are incredible, you can go in next door pick out your fish and get it cooked next door. The fish is so fresh and the chips are crispy and cooked to perfection every time. I highly suggest. You can go out the back and sit by the water and eat your fish and chips which is so relaxing and delightful.

2 weeks ago My husband and I visited Scales fish and chips. They had terrible fish and chips and I placed review. Today we visited PKG Seafood. We ordered Basa and chips. Fish cooked perfectly, chips amazing. Staff friendly. This is the place to come. We will definitely be back. We'll done

Lovely staff. They accommodated for our late Christmas order and were very helpful with our order. Great service and bent over backwards to help us. The oysters were fresh and beautiful - very excited to taste their fresh seafood for Christmas.

PKG Seafood Wholesale is by far the best Seafood joint I have had a feed from. If you want a bang for your buck this is the place to go!

Not only are the prices insane the quality is amazing. I have seen in the below comments that people have experienced bad service. I had immaculate service.

If you don’t feel like cooked seafood they also have fresh seafood you can buy which is the main part of their store. All of their produce is fresh and delectable!

They have seating under shelter and outdoor seating which overlooks the river. The atmosphere isn’t 10/10 it isn’t for instagram selfies. But it is homey and has a gorgeous view.

If I lived up here I would be buying seafood from here daily. The prices cannot be beat.

Had the special ( red spot emperor and chips) and a serve of calamari. Sat on the little deck overlooking the river.

10/10. I've waited twice as long and paid twice as much for seafood half as good.

Eat here. You won't be disappointed.

Have been buying fish and seafood at PKG for years, consistently fresh, especially the local mullet. Today the owners were serving us with a smile and great advice - on a Sunday and long weekend, where everybody else is relaxing. Thank you for being there and keeping a small business open in tricky times. Happy to keep coming back every week now.

I had an exceptional experience at this seafood restaurant, especially with their perfectly cooked fish dish. Freshness, flavor, and presentation were all top-notch, and the service was impeccable. A definite 5-star experience.

Even though the price was up since I was there last, which was some time ago. I will still be going back ..loved their box of crumbed calamari. Prawns where ok.
Had to sit in the car it was pouring with rain but normally have a seat beside the river.
