The guys running this place are so lovely. They allowed our dog to come inside too. And they had time to show us a few cool things too.

Museum of machinery and various antiques. Entertaining for a short visit of a few minutes. admission is free, you can leave a donation.

Brilliant, the volunteers are so eager to help explain and show things. A fascinating look back at life.

I became a volunteer.

Visited recently during the Edenvale Twilight markets. I paid the donation at the entrance. There was an older gentleman giving a tour and providing information to a man and his children. I was hoping once they had finished he would share some of this knowledge with me too. I wandered around I enjoyed reading and looking at the machinery. Once the man and his kids left, the older gentleman guiding them and providing knowledge looked at me, with no acknowledgement at all then proceeded to exit the museum and stood out the front instead. I wandered around abit longer in the hopes he would acknowledge me and share some insight into the machinery and history on the museum. He did not. He stayed out the front the whole time, while I was left to wander the museum alone. I can't help but feel if I were a man or had a man accompany me I would have been acknowledged like the man before me.

Tried to visit in the afternoon as opening hours say open until 3.30 however it was closed. Was told that as it’s volunteer run they often close early if it’s quiet in the morning. So recommend visiting in the morning especially if you don’t want to disappoint your 3 year old!
