Bussells Bushland Cottages

Had a lovely four-night stay at the cottages! Very clean cottages that provided milk, juice and first day’s breakfast. LOVED seeing kangaroos every morning and evening. Heads up it’s in the bush so you will hear possums on the roof at night and hear animals at night. My only “negative” feedback is that check out states 10am but multiple spots mention returning keys between 8:30-9:30 so found it a bit confusing/feels like you’re being asked to leave before check out. Either way will recommend Bussells to anyone travelling to MR!

We had an absolutely incredible experience staying at this accommodation. It felt like a hidden gem nestled in the wilderness, providing us with a serene and peaceful atmosphere.

The highlight was undoubtedly spotting Kangaroos right in our backyard, adding a touch of enchantment to our stay. The kitchenware is clean, washroom is clean and the heated bed is awesome.

If we ever have the opportunity to visit Margaret River again, we will definitely choose to return to this wonderful place.

Stayed here for 3 nights with my family. We enjoyed this place very much. It’s quite far in, amongst the forest but you will be treated with some wildlife ie. Kangaroos at your door step. The place is very quiet and peaceful and you will have a good sleep. Very well equipped cottage, each bedroom comes with heated mattress and it’s exceptionally helpful during winter. Easy check in and check out. One thing that can be improved is the wifi. It’s really slow.

The land is beautiful and the walks so peaceful. You're an 8minute drive into Margaret River town so even though you feel secluded, you aren't.
The accommodation was clean and well presented with everything you need and the hosts are very friendly and on site if needed.

We'll definitely be back and recommending to friends.

This is a fantastic, private and rustic, bushland accommodation location. 8 cosy cabins, nestled amongst wildlife filled bush, far enough apart for privacy, yet not far enough to feel isolated. Full kitchens, wood fire and reverse cycle air-conditioning, this family run property is a real gem in Margaret River. We're so glad we chose it for our recent stay and would return again if opportunity presented.

We stayed here three nights for a holiday trip. Very close to Margaret River township. The cottages are all in a bush setting which is nice and peaceful. You can also walk in the bushland surrounding the place. Everything inside were comfortable and full size kitchen. The wood burner was also great for those evening fires. Can definitely recommend.

This was the best accommodation I stayed at during my Australian holiday. The cottages are modern and everything looks brand new. Immaculately next level clean. Spacious, lofted ceilings, lovely surroundings all add up to a good stay. You can tell that the owners take care of the place with nice additional touches like heated mattresses. Will definitely book this again next time I’m in the area.

Amazing place. Amongst the bush. Plenty wildlife. All you need to have a great few days feeling like you are far away but actually so close to everything!

This is the best place I've stayed in the Margaret River area. Close to town, and with awesome walk trails through the bush at the property and great views of the surrounding farms and area.

The cottage was very well equipped for a winter stay and had great amenities and interior.

Also wanted to give a thanks to the property managers, really responsive and were able to make changes to my booking with no hassles.

What a great find these cottages were. They are set in a beautiful secluded bush setting with kangaroos and other wildlife at your door, yet conveniently a short drive to town and other amenities. They are super well equipped and very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back and recommend to others.

My wife and I recently stayed for our honeymoon. The rooms were clean and spacious and the service was excellent. I left behind something important to my wife and the owners were kind enough to post it to us. Would highly recommend a stay here. We loved the bush setting that seemed so far away from the world yet only a few minutes drive to the centre of Margaret river

This amazing little place was clean and equipped for our stay. From the beautiful and clean cottage we stayed in, down to the prepared kindling and firewood, we could not fault our stay. There were walking tracks available and the close location to the town made our stay more convenient and eventful than hoped for. Loved our stay, would highly recommend.

Our 4 night stay at Bussells Bushland Cottages was just perfect. Our beautiful cottage overlooked the paddock which was always full of Kangaroos (to the delight of our 12 month old!). The log fire was great and made the cottage nice and cosy when relaxing of an evening, especially during the stormy weather outside. The hosts Ange and John were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The cottage was very clean and the beds were very comfy (with electric blankets too). The WiFi worked well and the location was ideal with plenty of things to do only a short drive away. We also walked along one of the walking trails on the estate which was quiet, peaceful but full of wildlife. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we’ll be back to visit again.

We’ve stayed here many times and would thoroughly recommend it. The cottages are cosy and private, and the owners and staff are all very friendly and accommodating. The location is fantastic as it is set in the middle of a peaceful forest, yet it’s only a five-minute drive from Margaret River town centre, so you get the best of both worlds.

Great location. Neat and tidy! Breakfast sorted with orange juice, milk, cereal, toast. Cut fire wood ready to go for the fireplace. BBQ and fully contained kitchen. Loved the electric blanket and heating! Also loved waking up to kangaroos every where and kookaburra’s to say good morning to you! It’s beautiful. If you love your coffee BYO coffee beans they have a French coffee press no coffee machine, however you are only mins away from Margs! So relaxing will be back again

Gorgeous! My husband and I spent a few nights here for our honeymoon. Will definitely be coming back! Each cottage is well seperated from its neighbours and the surrounding bush is alive with birds and kangaroos. Check in/out was so simple. Can't recommend highly enough 😁

Great family stay. Cottages were well equipped and very clean and tidy. The location was peaceful and even had some kangaroos come close to the cottage. Will stay here again!

Excellent accommodation set in bushland. Saw kangaroos, parrots and many other birds. Lots of nice walks. Peaceful setting. Friendly, informative staff and a complimentary bottle of wine, what more could you ask for. Definitely recommended

I love, love, loved this place. Secluded, but just close enough to Margaret River. Central in the region that you can explore either North or South in a day.

Go for a walk and see the wildlife, or stay indoors and watch it come to you. We were visited multiple times by kangaroos right outside our cottage, which the kids loved.
