It’s a very nice centre to get all information for touring around. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were there to pick mushrooms and we easily found a lot of them! Really enjoyed the journey.

Charged our Tesla here. Staff very helpful. Tried to add extra charge at the 4 Charge Hub chargers later at the RSL Club however despite creating an account we were unsuccessful in getting a connection.

We always visit the local tourism office in a new town for handy information and tips. Oberon tourism namely Deborah was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and offered unbiased opinions on local attractions and camp site recommendations. It's always a pleasure to deal with people who are knowledgable and passionate about their job role. Totally recommend!!

Very accessible with a free Tesla Charger with two ports at the back. I popped in to get some visitor info on where to eat with the kids and was greeted with two huge smiles that were extremely eager to help. They gave me a list of restaurants with operating days & times and a map where they marked them on for me. Super helpful!!

The Oberon Visitors Information Centre is well worth a visit.
Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Debra provided some great local tips about fossicking and local wildlife. The office is able to provide a fossicking kit including shovel and pans etc for a hire fee of $20. The turn off from the main road onto the unsealed track to the Porters Retreat fossicking site when we went had some pretty big holes in it. This could have been challenging for regular city cars.
Debra also mentioned that there were wild kangaroo mobs nearby in the bush area near the golf course and dam. We were lucky to see when we went. Let them know if you are interested in wildlife. Jenolan Caves and the majestic Kanangra – Boyd National Park are just a stones throw away and they can give you plenty of tips.
Thanks!

Visited on a Saturday. Conveniently got a street parking spot out the front. We visited seeking information on mushroom picking in Oberon. The staff was more than happy to help us out, she circled some locations for us on a map and provided a lot of helpful information to aid us in identifying and picking the edible mushrooms. She also provided us with more information about the local town on the main street as well as some recommendations on where to eat.

The lady working here was incredibly friendly and helpful. She asked questions about my interests and suggested activities based on those. Having up to date details (the farm visit nearby, for example, has some newborn animals at the moment) added to the value.

If you want to pick the mushrooms, you'd better call this information center the day before you go, so that you won't waste your time on traveling for 3 hours to get there and get nothing.

Both ladies are wonderful & helpful. We had booked for Jenolan Caves but couldn't take our vans down so the ladies told us where we could park them reasonably safely. Then we visited Mayfield Gardens upon their suggestion. Amazing place, thankyou!!

Went out mushrooming for a day in Oberon and stopped in at the visitor's centre so we could get some handy information about the mushroom species. Was greeted by a lovely lady at the desk who helped us with a map and detailed information on how to get to the best spots, as well as pamphlets about the mushroom types. She was a great deal of help, and after finding the mushrooms, we ducked back in to just say thanks, and have a go at the noodling patch (which is great for fossicking practice!). The staff are incredibly helpful and kind, and were a big part of the reason we had such a great day out. Well worth dropping in before exploring Oberon so you can get some great guidance, and have a nice chat!

The ladies at the Oberon Visitor Info Centre were amazing during our stay in Oberon for the Elton John concert. Not only did they give us fantastic local tips about things to see and do in the region, but they even put Elton John's greatest hits on while we perused the info to get us ready for the concert!
Recommend anyone travelling through town drop in for some great advice from the friendly staff.
