The Hideaway Cabarita Beach

Love this place, have stayed 3 times. Amazingly clean, fantastic location (2 min walk to the beach). The town of Cabarita is so cute!! Have stayed in both the family and regular tents and both are fantastic. We love taking the free bikes and going to Kingscliffe and Cinnamon, the manager at The Hideaway, is always so kind and accommodating. We’ll be back!

Gorgeous campsite, very quiet while we were there, super comfy beds! We used their BBQ facilities for dinner. Great location, minutes walk to the beach, shops and restaurants!

Well this was just a great experience all round.

The staff are super friendly, accomodating and great to deal with. We found the check in and booking process very simple and the warm welcome and quick walk around was just right.

We stayed in tent 14 and it was beautiful, clean and had literally eveything you'd need to make your stay comfortable and convenient.

The toilet and shower facilities are wonderful too and THANKS for NOT skimping on decent products for the guests to use (Shower Gels and shampoos)

The same is said for the kitchen and BBQ area. Really clean, tidy and beautifully laid out. And again they have used quality products to furnish and fit it out. These little touches mean yo get really great value for money and things are a pleasure to use.

It was just me and my partner that stayed and we just had the best time. We'll certainly be back :)

It was a really cool experience living in a tent without having to deal with the elements of the wild. We had great family time bonding inside the dimly lit but air-conditioned tent, occasionally consuming some ice cold water from the mini bar fridge. The sound of waves crashing into Cabarita Beach lulled us to sleep and we woke up to the sounds of birds. On our morning trip to the spotless lavatory, we were greeted by the resident bush turkey "No Beak" who most likely got his beak beaten off in a fight. When we were hungry, we did not forage nor hunt, we took a short stroll down the road for some pretty decent coffees and food on the shopping strip.

Overall, I really enjoyed this style of accommodation, which had that outdoor adventure feeling but in a controlled environment so you know you won't have to pee in the bush while keeping an eye out for snakes. The wifi was good enough to remain connected to civilisation. The kitchen was fully equipped and had a good variety of instant tea/coffee bags, with tables and chairs to lounge around. One last thing, those trolleys for luggage was a great idea, a testament to the operators' "attention to detail".

Although I wouldn't do it again, I give this a glowing rating. Why?, because it was perfect, amenities perfect, shared areas perfect, bed perfect, tents perfect and staff perfect. It just wasn't for me, the takes up a good portion of the middle and other parts of the tent require being hunched over. Having said that the place was great, clean, everything you could need and attentive staff/owners/managers. It's something that you have to try and then decide for yourself. Still 5 stars from me.

I came here with my partner for a weekend get away. From the friendly check in with complimentary Byron bay cookies, to our amazing deluxe bell tent, and super comfortable bed, the Hideaway exceeded expectations. Lovely quiet location, direct beach access and a short stroll into town.
Amazing Facility’s for family’s and self contained cooking. I will definitely be returning with my children.

Stayed here with my partner . From the confirmation text before arrival , check in and overall service was outstanding. Very welcoming with coffee vouchers for the nearby cafe , free Byron bay cookies . Although we did have rain there was no issue using the outdoor amenities. The bathrooms are big and well kept . Walking distance to fish and chip shop , Woolworths, cafes. I will be back !

Had an absolutely fantastic experience while staying here a few weekends ago. The amenities are perfect with a great communal kitchen and sitting area, clean and spacious bathrooms aswell. The set up and layout of the tents are spot on and while staying here you truly feel as though you are in an oasis. With only a short minute walk to the beach and town center the location is ideal.

10/10 would recomend if you are searching for a nice getaway, relaxing weekend or unique accomodation while exploring the town.

We loved our girls weekend away for my birthday. The first moment we arrived the manager Dan made us so welcome and throughout the weekend attended to every comfort. The THANKYOU products I loved as this company has beautiful social purpose. The camp is well set up and stocked with quality provisions. The individual bathroom spaces are luxury with huge showers and glam mirrors. The location is outstanding with direct access to the beach through the adjacent reserve. The spectacular fairy lights at night made the camp very beautiful. Easy parking and access. We will definitely be back.

We are currently staying for our second evening and are loving it. The tents are lovely and fitted out with a hotel quality bed and linen, the ablutions are sparkling clean with luxe fittings, the common area is a place you actually want to spend time in and the surrounds are just delightful. Everything you could need is within walking distance, coffee, supermarket, restaurants, beach and bottle shop (anything else required?!) and the staff are just lovely. The owners could not be more helpful letting us know that they were moving tents around etc. Our only tiny con, is that on the day we arrived the tent was so very hot (3pm) that we sweated though our siesta. At night and in the morning it is absolutely delightful. 5/5 would recommend for a relaxing and easy Australian stay!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the most friendly and welcoming staff. The tents are luxurious, the bedding, sheets, aircon and little bar fridges make you feel like your in a luxury resort. The toiletries in the bathroom are nicer then any hotel I’ve stayed in. We cannot wait to return to this relaxing luxurious ‘camp site’ by the sea. Thank you to every staff member for spoiling us and treating us with 5 star service.

Great spot for a short getaway! 2 minutes walk to the beach. 5 minutes drive to Coles to get whatever you want for the getaway. got a classic bell tent. it was spacious and the bed were comfy! the whole place is very clean. The toilets and the communal kitchen is sparkling clean. very convenient as they even provide clean towels and shampoos in the toilet.

the kitchen has got big fridge and gas barbecue as well. Cutlineries, plates, knife, dish detergent were also provided which made our glamping felt even more glam!

not sure if there is an outdoor campfire place. it would be great if there is one .

Dan was the one looking after us. He is very friendly and nice!

We had very fun time here and all stuff who work here always very friendly and helpful.
Very clean glamping place and even in winter time they get the heater also fan and min air conditioning.
Also easy to find good cafeteria around here.
Beach is near by.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The tents interior are beautiful and the lights that cover the entire area at night are lovely. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are clean and adequate. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing beach getaway!!

We stayed down at the Hideaway for my bf’s birthday for two nights. Was spectacular, better then we could of imagined. Super friendly and accommodating staff, incredibly clean ammenities, very relaxed vibe.
Close to everything, you could just walk to the beach, shops, surf club, coffee shop etc. Was even able to have a massage right in our tent. Will definitely be back.

Great location, short walking distance to beach/shops/bars/restaurants. Awesome experience, especially once the sun goes down & fairy lights are turned on. Clean amenities block. Hands down one of the best nights sleeps on the Koala mattress.

Great place to stay, awesome amenities, camp kitchen and tents, right on the beach. We went for my daughters 13th birthday, she took 3 friends and glamped in a tent while we stayed in the tent next to them. They had a ball.

Stayed at The Hideaway at the weekend and loved it. The owners have thought of everything and the tents are just lovely. The location is good, so close to the beach and in walking distance to restaurants and shopping area. I would highly recommend!
