Southern Noodle Bar

I was interested in Laksa but the food hall was closed. I decided to try the Southern Noodle Bar. I tried Yunnan spicy noodle soup and I'm glad I did. It has a unique delicious hearty consistency with a flavor that sent me over the moon. Just enough spice as well. This is now my new Laksa. While different from Laksa it's a little more complex in its weave of flavors. Totally delicious.

I came earlier around 10am on King's birthday looking for brunch. The owner was cleaning the place and he asked me to return at 1030am. I read the signs, he opened the shop half an hour earlier for me. There was nothing open other than hotel breakfast. The soup is surprisingly excellent. Every elements melt together in good balance, and it is simple but seemingly homely. I have been to Yunnan, it is good to find authentic taste here in Adelaide. Thanks again, for opening the shop half an hour earlier.

The noodles at this place is good to have on a really cold night. The beef noodle soup which I ordered was had tender beed and the soup tasted authentic.

Will likely come back to this place when my craving hits.

Love what we ordered. (肥肠米线）The size for large was quite generous. The flavour was yummy too. Especially like the soup. The rice noodles were not thin like the instant ones you can buy from the supermarket. They were thick and fresh. Everything in this dish was balanced. Service was friendly too. Little restaurant with nice atmosphere. Price is good for value. Recommend this place.

This place is authentic. Authentically Asian with the price, serving size and service. No MSG and damn delicious. Southern noodle bar is about the food and not the trimmings. Make sure if you're paying by card buy your drinks with your meal - they do not take transactions under $15 and do not have table water for those who need water for the spicy noodles!

Top 2 restaurant in Adelaide! We come here all the time. Even after we moved to Sydney we still come back here every time we visit Adelaide. Our favourite are all the dry rice noodles. Fast serving speed, great value, amazing taste

Definite Comfort food: amazing good wholesome broth with delicious soft rice noodles - recommend both the dry and soup noodles. For the adventurers: the famous Yunnan Bridge noodles. A Fortnightly regular.
