Bremer Island Banubanu Beach Retreat

We did a day trip to the resort and had an amazing time. The boat trip was enjoyable, the food was great, and whole set-up was geared for a chillaxed experience. Helen, Erin, and the whole team were fantastic.

We had an incredible stay in Banu Banu Resort! The island is so beautiful, with a lot of activities to do. We loved the snorkel and checking out the turtle nesting tracks. the accomodation is so comfortable and relaxing!! Trevor and Helen were kind and friendly! The fine dining experience with sunset was fantastic! Chef Noah amazed us in every dish with presentation and taste! The staff was very friendly and attentive, ready to do help us whenever we needed. Special thanks to Megan and Coline!!

Absolutely heavenly! My husband and I spent the weekend at Banubanu resort and had the best time. The beach is just beautiful and you’re able to swim in the water (just being aware of your surroundings at all times). There’s a great selection of things to keep you entertained from snorkelling, kayaking, swimming and then walking to a few lookout spots around the retreat. The restaurant was top quality food, honestly the best food we’ve had in the Territory! Hats off to Andrew for also being able to provide gluten free options for every meal! Ruth, our waitress, was just incredible too. She was so attentive to our needs but never imposing. The accom was more than comfortable and quite private. The view is just stunning - we just loved waking up to the ocean every morning. I cannot recommend Banubanu enough. This is the perfect location - whether it’s just popping in for lunch on a boat trip for the day, having a romantic getaway or even a wedding, you cannot find anywhere better! And visiting Banubanu supports the local community too, I do recommend you!!

A unique experience on Bremer Island we only selected the day visit, but the hour trip by boat to the Island is very scenic followed by disembarking onto a pure white beach surrounded by blue waters. The resort provided morning tea and lunch overlooking the bay. Before leaving a quick swim in those clear waters finished the Bremer Island experienc. I recommend you place this day trip on your "must do list" whilst in Nhulunbuy. You can stay longer if your schedule allows.

What an awesome day at this magical spot on our doorstep.
The entire experience from the boat ride out there, to the swim, snorkelling, kayaking, to the cocktails and the awesome lunch available in the restaurant overlooking the pool and the best view.to boot.
Andrew, Helen, Trevor, Sophia, (the other young lady) and old mate that brought us home - your doing a crackin job, best day. Food was 10/10, service was the same.

This is the best experience! Swimming at the beach was wonderful. The accommodation and meals are 5 star. The owners and staff are professional and friendly. The little touches are all there. This is one of those places where real life is even better than the photos. Well done Helen and Trevor! Thankyou for this oasis.

Did day trip, and decided to stay for night as they had vacant safari tent. Beautiful day on the beach, walking, noce restaurant and a joy to lay on your bed and see/listen to the surf at your doorstep. Not cheap but worth a pamper.

Really nice spot with very friendly hosts and great facilities. We got a flight across rather than the boat which was worth the bit extra money. You can swim at the beach too which is a nice extra on the Top End.

Beautiful place to visit. Had a lovely day, swimming, kayaking and a couple of short walks. Lunch in the restaurant and a couple of beverages overlooking the beautiful bay. Would highly recommend.

Remote,relaxing and regenerative with sensational staff producing superb meals.Walk up the dunes look back over the bay and realize just how fortunate you are to be there !
Dont think about it just go !
