THE BEST MALAYSIAN I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!! I got the Nasi Lemak with the beef rendang and it was so good that we ended up getting more. We also got the vegatable laksa and satay chicken. The laksa was the best i've ever had and the quality of all the meat was amazing. I would easily say this is one of THE BEST places to eat in fitzroy. Everything is so fresh and tasty. Not to mention, the atmosphere is INCREDIBLE! All the plants and the lighting and the music.. It feels like you are being whisked away to another world. The woman who serves us was so kind and fun to talk to. If I could come here every night I would.

The beef rendang was next level delicious with a delicate texture, melt in your mouth beef and just the right amount of chilli-driven warmth. The laksa was also perfect for the cold Melbourne weather. Looking forward to coming here again.

We've been coming to Blue Chilles for 20 years but haven't been back for a number of years since moving to the other side of town.

We were pleased to be back and enjoy the same familiar authentic Malaysian flavours and dishes.

The loh bak was cripsy, and the beef rendang was full of flavour and a nice heat which we mopped up with roti and coconut rice. Everyone reqlly enjoyed the lemongrass barramundi and the soft shell crab was delicious.

We were then treated to an array of yummy desserts including their pandas crepes, banana fritter, deep fried ice cream, pisang goreng and sago gula melaka.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating and we hope to be back a lot sooner as I'm craving their laksa which we use to eat regularly.

Delicious Malaysian food. Great service and reasonable prices. The restaurant has a really positive and upscale vibe.

Went there with my colleagues. Ordered a seafood laksa was absolutely amazing. I tried some of Hokkien fried noodles as well, was also so good. As I checked the menu, I have more things I want to try next time, I’ll definitely come visit again. The lady staff is very friendly and kind. I wish I could review seven stars! Thank you!

After being so stubborn only going to Laksa King for Malaysian food, I took a risk and went to Blue Chillies and was impressed with their food, service and atmosphere. The Laksa was fantastic but the Beef Rendang was the star of the show, I'm keen to go back and try their thrice cooked duck and chicken curry.

This is the best Asian food restaurant I've had in ages. I highly recommend dining in.

Wonderful service from the staff from the time we walked in.

We had:
- Whitebait and sweet potato fritters (omg, a must try)
- Satay chicken (so tender!)
- Beef rendang (excellent)
- Char Kway Teow (the wok hei was spot on, albeit we did ask for the no chilli version as we had a kid along)
- Sambal Okra and eggplant (very good)

Not sure about the people who take away, as food quality always does change with deliveries, but dining in was an excellent experience!

We'll be back!

they have the greatest Loh Bak i had tried in Melbourne.
skin was crispy, filling was flavourful. also the owner was so sweet and nice. the chilli with the roasted chicken rice are definitely the best, i cant handle it well, but it’s so good, so good 😚

Absolute gem of Fitzroy. Shared a delicious, comforting meal (I had the combination Laska) here with my partner. Staff friendly and charismatic and a great cozy but upbeat atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Best Laksa I've had in Melbourne! I ordered the combination Laksa and was most impressed with the broth flavour and how fresh all the ingredients were. On a 20 point scoring system, I'd give this Laksa a 17.

Family run, really cosy. I went during the day when it was quiet, but will definitely be back for an evening visit (suggest you book). Owners and staff were super-friendly.

Good food and generous portions!

Great atmosphere, friendly, professional service. Our waiter who I think was the owner was lovely and offered complimentary icecream for our kids.
The Stuffed Tofu and Laksa were great.

Friendly service. Food came quickly. Char koey teow had 'wok hei', i.e smokey which is how it should be, which is hard to find in Melbourne

Really great food at a very reasonable price. Food came out really quick and hot. Very nice friendly staff in a small well decorated room. Give it a go.

We thought a poached barramundi with lemongrass, sour plum and chill broth, and a Hawker crunchy noodles with fishcake, fish balls prawns in a soup with greens, an absolutely tasty way to finish the weekend. What a delight Blue Chillies proved to be. Talk with the manager Bonnie about the best fish and you'll be surprised. Try the ikan bilis (sambal crispy fried anchovies) to go with a fresh beer. And it's super value for money.

Great service, warm, friendly & love the ambience. Food was really awesome. Enjoyed every bite. Definitely to be recommended to others & will surely revisit.

Very good food. Loved the Cha Kueh Teow & Indian Mee. Curry chicken with rice was good too. Spicy & tasty. Lovely ambience & friendly staff.

We had the best evening here! Delicious food, drinks and beautiful service. Could not fault it. One of my new favourite spots, we can’t wait to come again!
