Had a beautiful meal of Garlic Prawns Salad and chips, fresh as, and tasted fantastic the dressing on the salad was beautiful also.
The owners Deb And Ray were like family as soon as we walked in, would absolutely go back.

Accommodation is a community hall next door. You need to arrange access and bring your swag with you. Or drop in for lunch and stay in a neighbouring town

Lovely friendly country pub. The menu specialised in seafood but had some pub classics as well. I really enjoyed the fish in a creamy sauce with a classic country town side salad (inc beetroot) and crinkle cuts chips.

If you like seafood this place is a very good local pub serving a variety of options from King prawn to different fish. If you enjoy encountering warm and kind people on a road trip, this place is fantastic with the best local hospitality.
Bonus: the chef can cook good Asian food. Even it's not on the menu, he can make authentic seafood stir fry.
I was not feeling like grill or batter beer style seafood that night, but chef Ray is so kind and prepared me special treat stir fry and considerably served with chopsticks! 😊

This place is a hidden gem! It's a quirky country pub that dishes up great seafood. We've been a few times now and don't have any complaints. Ray's seafood dishes are fresh and cooked perfectly. It's not often that you find great seafood in the country so it's a real treat when you do! Highly recommended taking a drive and stopping in here for lunch or dinner. It's best to book a table and they usually only do seafood on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Excellent establishment with highly professional publicans, Ray & Deb. Seafood fresh from the coast, the best this far inland. Beer's cold, welcome's warm, people are friendly. Recommended for locals and day-trippers alike!

The seafood is amazeballs. Went in a group of 15 for a work function and they looked after us amazingly. Worthy of the drive!

Great couple-run hotel with surprisingly good menus and wholesome food in the rich volcanic soils and basalt tors of Grabben Gullen.

Banjo Paterson captured some of the magic of this place in his ode to the Gundaroo Bullock:

“Far away by Grabben Gullen, where the Murrumbidgee flows,
There's a block of broken country-side where no one ever goes;
For the banks have gripped the squatters, and the free selectors too,
And their stock are always stolen by the men of Gundaroo. “

Your hosts are widely known for their superb meals (and unlike the inn keepers at Gundaroo have never substituted koala for beef). The inn has local history written all over it.

This is a beautiful part of the country to explore, and this is a great place to explore it from.

Best seafood dinners ever!

What a great little country pub. Publican Ray is very welcoming, decor is cool, not pretentious, just a great place for a couple of cold bevos.

Great local pub with passionate owners with interesting motorbike decor inside. A must to stop for an ale and or a feed.
