Céramiques Camberwell

I have done two terms with Ceramiques in Camberwell and I couldn't recommend them more! As a beginner, I appreciated the teaching portion at the beginning of the class and then loved the individual time to get creative. The teachers balanced the class so well and were there to assist with technique at all times. I also managed to get 10-12 pieces made, glazed and fired which I found so so generous. Highly recommend!

Thrilled with my experience so far. The teachers are encouraging and engaged. The space is clean, open & inviting. Can't wait for the rest of the course. Good work guys

I haven’t check out this place properly, but I always seen a bunch of people in there all the time, and watching them make me wanna sign myself up.😀

Very bad customer service and also unprofessional - the company would not reply to emails and began texting my private mobile number at inappropriate hours (at almost midnight.) From these experiences, I cannot recommend going here. I had to leave the course early because a family member needed open heart surgery in NSW after a severe heart attack. The company did not respond to emails for a very long time and were extremely unhelpful and vague. They offered unguided studio time for me - even though I am a complete novice to pottery and was taking a beginners course, which made no sense to me.

Unfortunately every interaction I have had with both Camberwell and Elsternwick studios have been poor. Firstly the "drop off" times for firing service on website are misleading. I lugged my heavy ceramics to the door of the camberwell studio (with in the times on website) and the door was locked and no one was there. I called the contact number and no one answered. I left a voicemail and no one got back to me. The front desk girls at the elsternwick studio are unfriendly and unwelcoming. I did a one off beginners wheel throwing class with Jake (I think that's his name) and although he was very lovely and helpful it wasn't explained at the beginning of the class that not everything we make gets fired. You can only have one piece fired and if you make more it is a cost. While this is totally acceptable I would've like to have know that in the beginning of the class so I could spend more time on one piece. You are then made to destroy your work in a pile of mushed clay which was quite disheartening. And lastly we were told we would get our piece fired and glazed and back in a month. Well it's nearly three months now and still nothing! Left very disappointed with this business. I believe this community needs to know where to take their business and my suggestion is look elsewhere.

Bad experience was injured a day before and could not make the class. Ceramiques showed no empathy to the situation.
