Helen’s home cooked meals are divine. A real find, and lucky for me, just around the corner. I am super fussy usually about take home meals, but they are made with such passion and skill that I always find myself wanting for more!🙌

Fresh produce, delicious ready made meals and a friendly team. Helen’s meals are a regular in our house - they’re always tasty and nutritious as well as making dinner time a lot easier for our family amongst work / kids activities. Highly recommend their produce and meals.

Even after moving out of the Hawthorn area in the early 90s, we have continued to get our produce from Pentaris Fruit & Vegetables.Throughout these decades, Chris has consistently provided excellent fruit and vegetables, always accompanied by his signature dad jokes.
Despite the devastating fire that destroyed their shop a few years back, Chris and Helen showed remarkable resilience and dedication by setting up in a corner of the nearby grocer, McCoppins. From there, they continued to serve their customers with the same high-quality produce we had come to rely on.
When they moved back into their restored shop, the range of products expanded impressively. Now, in addition to their superb fruits and vegetables, they offer health shots (the turmeric and ginger shot is fantastic for colds), freshly squeezed juices, and, in winter, a big pot of soup made on the premises. They also provide chopped vegetables ready for snacking or cooking, which is a great convenience.
One of my personal favourites is the soup mix, which comes with homemade stock paste—just add water and your choice of protein/carb, and you have a hearty, warming meal perfect for the winter months. As if this wasn't enough, Helen creates the most amazing dips, pestos, curries, and sauces. Each week, she also prepares a delicious cooked meal featuring meat or chicken, vegetables, and rice or noodles.
In these busy times, it is both refreshing and comforting to know that Helen and Chris look after their customers as they would family. The great produce, combined with the option to pick up a nourishing meal when we are too tired, busy or overwhelmed to cook, makes them an invaluable part of our lives. We are grateful for their dedication and the exceptional service they continue to provide.
Full disclosure – this review was prompted by today’s creation by Helen – a cheese filo pie. Oh my gosh - next level delicious! We need to lobby her to run cooking classes . . . . .

The best home cooked meals made with love. Many of these delicious recipes remind me of homegrown food I ate growing up. The team make it too convenient to eat beautiful healthy meals.

Chris has been going to the market at 3 am to select the best quality fruit for us for the past 30 years - well done thanks

I shopped at our local Pentaris the greengrocer in Tooronga Rd today ... they're doing amazing things since they re-birthed "The Fresh Feast" after the fire. They're making homemade soups and smoothies & have loads of other goodies that you don't expect
to find in a fruit shop ... amongst other things I've had a yummy spicy potato & pumpkin soup and a baklava smooothie ... both were crazy good ... and they make all this stuff fresh on-site. The Pentaris' family are well-established icons in the area ... I love shopping there for veges & fruit ... and if I'm lucky I cop some of Chris' humour. We need to support our local businesses

Without doubt, Helen, Chris and Steve run the nicest fruit and vegetable shop in the Hawthorn!! The quality of the produce is high and they've started making delicious add-ons like smoothies, soup, meal packs, hummus, tzatziki, etc. All fantastic.
Service is fun, the place has a real buzz and the young staff are so polite and helpful. This place is iconic in our local area - righly so.

I love Pentaris Fruit and Veg and Chris and Helen. Their fruit is delicious and always good. Some people do not like that it is expensive. So what I say? Their stuff is great and we always laugh. I never had a bad avocado. If I did, they would swap it. 5 stars yum yum

I was sick of getting the fruit and vegetables from coles & Woolworths then I stumbled across fresh feast and the quality and price were fantastic.This my go to for all of my fruit and vegetables
