A warm shallow river is so great for kids. It's not as windy as near the ocean, which is good too. Note that the water is not super clean and a bit smelly.

One of the best walk you can do if your are driving on the great ocean road to or from the 12 apostles it's worth the stop, not only a stop to stretch your legs but to see the beautiful town of Port Campbell, from the scenic lookout
