Consistent food quality! Haven't been back for awhile and food doesn't disappoint! Different tasty side dishes complement the main dish perfectly. Owners are lovely and accommodating.

Finally got to try out this place. Got the chicken cheese bapsang which came with several panchan which i love. Portion was so generous, all the panchan and main dish were nice. Lovely couple and their service was top notch

Had this kimchi soup with pork bone bab sang for $30.80 (original price was $27) on a Saturday and I loved it! The kimchi soup was really flavourful, the roasted cauliflower was surprisingly good, fried tteokbokki had a really nice texture and its sweet with a bit of spice to it. The other fried stuff like the fried seaweed with vermicelli and dumpling was ok. But the fried shrimp was good.

Such a good Korean restaurant! The food is delicious and authentic. 🇰🇷🇰🇷The Babsang is amazing, you can try a lot of small dishes as well. The place is clean and tidy and with good atmosphere. Service is good, owner is polite. Very impressed with this place!

This hidden gem is a must try for everyone that loves Korean food. It’s just around the corner and I’ve been wanting to try it for months. It is different to most Korean restaurants I’ve been to before.
Their set menus are amazing:
Tasty Korean main dishes, with six sides, salad and a delicious dessert.
The kimchi is home made and tastes so fresh. The little cheese cake - as well home made, rounds up the meal perfectly.
The chicken wasn’t too greasy, well seasoned and juicy as.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Diner on Franklin, a Korean restaurant that left a lasting impression on me. The first thing that struck me was the great value for money that the restaurant offered. Their Babsang, which includes a variety of dishes for just $25, was a feast for the senses. The portions were generous, and the range of flavors was simply delightful.

One of the standout dishes that I tried was the soft tofu and seafood soup. It was incredibly amazing - the broth was flavourful and the seafood was fresh, making for a delicious and hearty soup that left me feeling satisfied and content. The dish was also beautifully presented, with a colourful array of ingredients that made it a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.

The staff at Diner on Franklin were also a highlight of my visit. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, they were welcoming and attentive. They were knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to offer suggestions and answer any questions that I had. Their service was truly excellent, and made for a memorable dining experience.

Last but not least, I have to mention the Korean fried chicken, which was simply amazing. The chicken was perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and very juicy. The flavours were bold and delicious, making for a truly satisfying and enjoyable meal.

Overall, my experience at Diner on Franklin was excellent. From the great value for money to the incredible food and top-notch service, I highly recommend this Korean restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience.

A small intimate place serving excellent Korean food. It is run by a couple who work efficiently and effectively so everything runs smoothly.

I can see the passion and care they put in every meal.

Food tastes amazing and service is great. We came for lunch and ordered the set meal, which comes with rice, side dishes, fruits and a mini cheesecake. Definitely going to come back to try other things on the menu.

When I entered the restaurant, I didn't expect to have a great Korean meal. However, after ordering the set menu, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. It just goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Heard a lot of this place and it definitely did not disappoint. Order the banchan dining sets to try many side dishes. The cheese buldak was decent and I came during their $22 offer so it was definitely worth it. The offer $22 bacnhan dining set is from Monday to Friday between 11:30a.m and 2p.m otherwise it would be a set of $25.
Definitely come back for their famous main dishes like fried chicken, Japchae and seafood pancake!

Had such a delicious meal here on a trip to Melbourne. The owners were very friendly and the food was amazing!

Very very impressed with my first visit here to Diner on Franklin. The Korean menu has all of the signature dishes you would expect including bibimbap , Fried Chicken and beef bulgogi. I had the beef brisket stir-fry which was really very good. The meat was tender and succulent and very tasty. It's a small place but comfortable and the service was excellent and friendly. I am definitely looking forward to bringing my friends here to enjoy the delicious food.

Was recommended by a friend, and it was not disappointing at all. The portion was worth the money spent, and the meal came with different side dishes. I believe they change the menu every now and then.

My friend recommended this small and cute restaurant that owned by a Korean couple. Nice and good taste food unlike other Korean restaurants always have Korean bbq. Friendly service make you feel like you are part of their family.

Highly recommend to eat Babsang
We tried two Babsang:
1. Cheese Buldak - fiery chicken with cheese
2. Soft tofu soup with seafood

Main dishes were so good and warm. The side dishes were also delicious. I would like to re-visit with other friends soon.

A little known Korean joint that makes great healthy bibimbap perfect for one. Fresh picked crunchy vegetables, well marinated succulent meat topped of on a bowl of Korean purple rice and served in a hot dolsot. The scorched rice at the bottom is the real treat in this dish, and they deliver.

Of course this diner doesn't only just make bibimbap and they do a variety of great Korean dishes as well. Their attention to detail makes dining in (before COVID) or take away (during COVID) the same visual and delectable dining experience. Ever friendly staff makes visiting this hidden gem a joy to visit.

Authentic Korean Restaurant !
Cozy place with great interior design, owned by a couple which are super friendly and kind. Their pork bone soup tastes amazing , well balanced between spicy,sweet and savoury. Soy sauce fried chicken was super tasty and cripsy with delicious salad dressing.
This restaurant will be my go to place for Korean food ! Extremely recommend to try them out

Little hidden gem run by a lovely & friendly couple!! Very yummy and authentic Korean food, not to mention how affordable it is! The quality and variety of food you get is top notch. They don’t take bookings, only walk-ins so you either get there early, or have to wait as the place is quite small and cosy.

Beef bulgogi was slightly over cooked and dry for my liking, but it was tasty and wasn’t too bad overall. The kimchi is a little bland though. Everything else was superb, very fresh and well prepared - especially the cauliflower! It was amazing.

The fried chicken paired awesome with the melted cheese, still slightly crispy even after the fiery sauce coat. the cheese had a nice stretch to it and went very well with the side dishes and the rice.

Having often walked past this unsigned restaurant, I decided it was time to try it out. I was pleasantly welcomed with a huge smile and promptly seated :) I like the clean and white environment. Being a family affair run by husband and wife, they clearly are organised and doing well at making this Korean diner a new top place to visit. I was delighted to order and try the beef bibimbap.. the ingredients where fresh and tasty. Looking forward to my return 😊
