A beautiful view of the river from here, and great place for a picnic. The historic bridge is interesting also

Beautiful walk along the river. Walk can be as long or short as you like with many parking areas along the way. Great walk in winter as the track doesn't flood and grass is kept short

Great camp site. While there I found, using a metal detector, a 19th Century Eagle Claw Fish and Animal Trap. This is a rare find in the USA and I suspect even rarer in Australia.

4 star for the cleanliness around the places, i visted the place on Thursday evening, camp ground was packed full and sourrounding areas was filthy, I guess the council has to put up some regulations for management of camp grounds, otherwise its a good historical place to definitely check out, also you could go to other side of the bridge on foot from lions park. Google map wont show it but its accessible.

I didn’t intend to visit this bridge. I was driving past and happened to notice it. It’s very beautiful and a cool part of history that is hidden away from everything. If you’re in the area I recommend having a quick stop.

If you like old bridges this one is good . A lot of history here and an attempt is being made to save it in some form . It would be fantastic if a walking bridge could be incorporated.

Great looking bridge, they have done a great job with some galvanized wire across the structure to provide some support for the ageing timber and piers. It's great to see these old bridges across Victoria to get a glimpse into our history. There were a lot of great engineers and work must have been extremely difficult in a time when they didn't just fire up a crane or excavator. It really is part of our history and I'm grateful that councils,governments are prepared to look after these old relics.
