I have been a loyal customer of BBQ House Bayswater ever since I moved into the area, and I must say, it never disappoints. Whenever I visit this restaurant, I always find myself ordering the same dish—the BBQ and Crispy Pork with Rice. It has become my absolute favourite, and for good reason.

The BBQ and Crispy Pork with Rice dish at BBQ House Bayswater is simply fantastic. The succulent barbecued meat, combined with the perfectly crispy pork, creates a mouthwatering symphony of flavors. The meat is tender and juicy, with a tantalizing smoky aroma that is hard to resist. The crispy pork adds a delightful crunch to each bite, creating a delightful textural contrast. As much as I love my go-to dish, I must admit that I am curious about the other offerings on their menu. The extensive menu at BBQ House Bayswater is filled with a wide variety of tantalizing options, and I hope to one day muster the courage to drag myself away from my favourite dish and try something new. From their sizzling stir-fries to their aromatic soups, the menu promises a culinary adventure waiting to be explored.

Here it is, located along Mountain Highway in Bayswater, few doors from CBA bank, 200m from train station! Best crispy pork around! Crispy skin, juicy and tasty pork… just right in saltines as well! Just perfect! The 1kg just vanished amongst 4 of us within two hours! The wasabi prawns are just delicious! I can never make the soft shell crab with salted eggs like they do! These 3 dishes score a perfect 10 for me! The set menus are reasonably priced too - all in accordance to your budget! They are a fighter and survivor through COVID too! Don’t forget I love their kon Lo duck noodles too; and …. Many many more as mentioned in previous reviews!
They might not have a white table cloth service, but the tastes and chef skills are consistent and real! Bayswater is fast becoming a solid venue with solid restaurants- this and Treasure Bowl serve full restaurant menus; Junious Tan serving hawker Malaysian food, we have Thai food, Vietnamese, Chinese Dumplings, pizzas, burgers, Indian, Burger with beer,… lots of choices!

Been here a few times now and it's definitely one of the best in the area. I've literally been to all the go to Chinese restaurants in Melbourne and really rate this place. I've had the lobster noodle banquet and just regular meals like the roast pork, BBQ pork, crispy seafood noodle, etc and it's all good. I wouldn't say it's better than box hill but if you're in Bayswater/Ringwood area, it's certainly comparable.

Had our dinner here for the first time yesterday. Ordered roast duck, dried scallop fried rice and seafood tofu claypot. Super satisfied with the food, especially seeing the duck freshly roasted and served warm, crispy skin and succulent meat! Definitely our go to chinese restaurant in the area!

Update: This becomes our favourite HK roast place! Been here almost every week to try other dishes too. Everything is so good!

These guys haven't failed to impress with affordable, delicious food, good service, and a spacious restaurant to hang out in. I highly recommend the crispy pork, which is nice and tender with satisfyingly crispy skin, as well as their Cantonese duck. Both come at good value when ordered in the combo. With BYO and large servings, it's a great place for a group of friends to catch up on a week night for casual dining.

Great place serving good Hong kong style BBQ food, kitchen meal are also great. Good price, great portion.

Delicious Asian food and friendly staff. Whether you’re here for lunch or dinner, definitely try their roast pork and roast duck. Their wasabi beef dish is also very tasty. Staff very friendly too and convenient location close to Bayswater train station. Highly recommend!

Delicious crispy noodles, big fresh prawns were my personal highlights. A bit far from home but I wont forget how good this place in any hurry. Must come again.

Really enjoyed dinner with friends here last week. Some wonderful original dishes and classics. Pre order the roast pork and the wasabi beef is a must try. Photo doesn’t do justice to this tasty meal.

Had the crispy pork with salt and pepper and it was delicious! I also had the crispy noodle with seafood sauce, filling and generous portion!

A party of 7 on a wet Friday evening - we had the set for 4 and added 2 extra dishes - the egg plant claypot and the salt & pepper chicken ribs. Food was well cooked and the serves generous. The scallops in particular were so aromatic and tasty.

Hands down, still the best prawn noodle

We came to try this restaurant out knowing they were known for their BBQ/roast meats. But we weren’t craving this and went with some of the more commonly ordered chinese dishes - salt baked chicken, salted egg fried prawns, XO pippies and stir-fried chinese broccoli. We finished the meal full and absolutely satisfied. The flavours were spot on and portion size was abundant for its price point. If I had to nit-pick and find fault, the only point I could raise is the chinese donut in the XO pippies was a bit crispier and less absorbant of the delicious sauce. We will be back for sure!

Almost all bbq are good. To rank: cha siu, roasted pork belly, soya chicken and roasted duck.

Portion slightly bigger than normal and taste pretty good.
