Visited here for the third time today and noticed their rebranding to Pasta Khan. I was relieved that it was still the same great place, now with a confusing name.

I ordered the Khan's Secret Spaghetti, which used to be called Achchiq Chop. It had the classic Uyghur lamb with hand pulled noodles and this is a must try. Please note that the 2 chilli symbols on the menu are incorrect and it should be 1 chilli, ie, not very spicy at all.

I have also included a photo of the Lamb Ribs Pilaf, but I didn't try this. I ate this during a previous trip and it was delicious.

Overall, this is a great place to visit and it suits the noodle lovers, as well as those who enjoy Turkish or Persian food. It is halal, therefore they do not serve alcohol. For those with accessibility needs, there is a ramp to the side of the main entrance and you can use that to get in.

To the restaurant, I absolutely love the food and will definitely be back. This being said, I'm not a fan of the recent rebranding, eg, calling the food spaghetti or pasta just isn't right.

Very very good! Best Big Plate Chicken I've had. My only disappointment is that it's taken me so long to come here!

Side note, they've rebranded to name their dishes like spaghetti and penne pasta, but they are still very much traditional dishes. It's a bit strange but it's just a new marketing attempt I guess.

Very good customer service, seems like very good food. I'll be back every week i think!

Food was freshly cooked and tasty, service was on point and I’m glad I had the kebab and yogurt as suggested on here! Staff were professional yet so friendly. Totally enjoyed my first wedding anniversary dinner there

We randomly passed this place on the weekend and decided to give a try. The stir fired noodle is highly recommended.

Food and service here was great. My usual at an Uygur restaurant is to have their handmade noodles with a stir fry (e.g. korma Lagman - though it was called something different here). And to me - they did this well. I also enjoyed their dumplings, skewers and the pastry as well.

Great work and it's a place I know I can visit next time in Melbourne.

It's halal as well - so #halaleats

Its our favourite place to go everytime. The food is always delicious and consistent with the quality and taste. They also made sure to accomodate us as we were carrying a pram to make the entry and seating super easy.

We have tried the food from this restaurant long time back but it was on the little lonsdale st. It was good and thought of having it again and no regret at all.

You have to book the table earlier to get in since they are full house during dinner.

Anything they mark as MUST TRY, definitely MUST TRY and won’t regret (at least for us).

We ordered Achchig chop - stir fry flat thin noodles MUST TRY, didn’t expect would be so good but oh my.. it is very good. The consistency of the noodle is perfect, the spices mixed well with the meat (we chose beef) and the noodles. It was mild spicy level, my son could have it fine. They used dried chilli. Yes, it’s definitely a MUST TRY. The regret was we should have ordered two since one portion not enough for 5 (we thought it just for tasting).

Another MUST TRY, Zip Kawap - charcoal lamb skewer. This is SUPERB! I am not a fan of lamb as it could have the smell. But the lamb skewer is perfectly marinated and grilled so no smell. The meat is tender and juicy. It’s perfect to be eaten right after they served or while it’s hot. One portion has 4 skewers, we ordered a lot 🤪

Bayun - spicy lamb neck, this is good dish too, and even the best if the meat could be a bit more softer. The soup is tasty.

Gosh Nan - the pastry stuffed with beef meat, it was good too but average.
Dumpling, we ordered chicken and prawn, that’s just average, so so.
Koktat Kormisi - sautéed Bokchoy with Chinese mushrooms, is also average. The bokchoy probably better to be cut a bit smaller.

Overall the portion is quite big.
The ambience is great too, though it’s traditional food yet the restaurant looks modern.
The people are very friendly and full of smile while serving us.
Definitely will come again.

To start the restaurant has survived 20 years in Melbourne serving central Asian and Mediterranean cusine and you will love the food they serve here. It always has customers knocking the door and tasting their delicacies. This is one amongst the must try in Melbourne. It is located at 382 Lonsdale st

The food is tasty. The waiter welcomed us warmly. The food portions were perfect, not too much and not small portions. Although the restaurant wasn’t spacious, it can serve/sits families and small groups.

Try their MUST TRY dishes and you won't regret it. Dishes are quite reasonably priced. They served water on the house too. Friendly waitresses. It's a halal restaurant so there's no alcohol.

The food is delicious - I highly recommend the Suyqash (lamb noodle soup)

If you have a spicy dish I also recommend the drinking yoghurt. My partner and I will definitely be coming back!

Loved everything. I’ve been here 3-4 times. For the recent visit, we booked a table for 4 but then had more friends who wanted to join last minute so the owner gladly gave us more space. The food is legit Uyghur. The yoghurt drinks are great for hot weather. We ordered multiple items labeled MUST TRY and didn’t disappoint!

Making the most of the Summer Holidays with family time, enjoying our best moment with delicious Uyghur food shared with loved ones! 😋
Dolan Uyghur Food is very popular and located in Melbourne CBD, with lamb as the base of many dishes. There is so much to choose from and its comforting food.
😋We tried
🍡 Ziq Kawap
🫓 Gosh Nan
🍜 Suyqash
🍝 Achchiq Chop Noodles
🍖Achchiq Qosaq Stir fried lamb
🍚 Guruch Qorumisi Fried rice with lamb & veggie

😋My kids really enjoyed the Gosh Nan. Its a Traditional Uyghur Pastry filled with seasoned Minced Beef & Black pepper. Tastes delish & perfect for sharing with family.
My fave were Noodles. Absolutely delicious and spicy. Lamb skewers is a must try! It was juicy and flavorful! The handmade noodles taste so good . Everything is fabulously prepared.
🍖Every dish has its own unique flavour, The combo of fried rice and Achchiq Qosaq was the winner! Really tasty and Euphoric and Enjoyable!

Hand pulled noodles were excellent and well cooked. The spices in the sauce with juicy lamb and fresh veggies made a great lunch. Good service and very clean for a Chinese restaurant in the CBD.

Personally I enjoyed eating the Uyghur cuisine as my first time! Recently coming back from visiting the regions of Armenia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, I wanted to try some cuisines which traced back to the Silk Road.

I do like cumin usually in Taiwanese fried chicken where it’s subtle
/far from up front and centre, so it was a different but welcomed change having it as the main spice.

I got the bread with mince beef, the noodles with chicken and the beef/bread dish. My apologies as the names of the dishes have already left me, though my absolute favourite was the bread and beef dish!! The bread was super crunchy and a nice contrast with the beef that was softer. Not only could you taste the spices, but I could also feel the powders on my tongue which was a unique experience.

Would definitely come back again :)

I love Uyghur food!! Always comforting, tasty and usually generous portions! Dolan Uyghur is one of the must try Uyghur restaurant in Melbourne👍🏻

If you’ve never tried Uyghur food before, they are a unique blend of Middle Eastern and Chinese food. They are big on meat dishes, particularly lamb. Although they also do chicken and beef. They also do a lot of hand made bread and noodles.

Read my review below on some of the dishes I tried recently! 😊

We ordered:
🍗Toho Qorumisi - Spicy Chicken home-made stew with handmade long flat noodles, potatoes & capsicum. Flavourful chicken on the bone. Delicious, fall off the bones chicken!🤩😍👍🏻

🍡 Ziq Kawap - Charcoal Lamb Skewers
A must-order dish! You can’t go to Uyghur restaurant without trying their lamb skewers!😍👍🏻

🫓 Gosh Nan - Traditional Uyghur Pastry filled with seasoned Minced Beef & Black pepper. Beautiful crispy edges pastry with tasty mince beef filing🥰👍🏻

🍖 Qowurgha Kawap - Tender Lamb ribs with cumin, onion & capsicum .
Tender & tasty lamb ribs! 😍

🍆 Pedigan Qorimisi - Braised Eggplant with special sauce. Delicious eggplants coated in light batter fried and mixed in special sauce. Yummy sweet & sour eggplants😍👏

We tried their sweet yoghurt drinks, which tasted similar to Lassi drinks. I like it😍

Highly recommended place for comfort food!🤩

This has an authentic ugher food experience that is very different from the traditional Asian cuisine. You can tell the Turkic influence based on their menu. Their lamb skewers were the absolute best along with the dumplings. They were oozing with flavors that you won't find elsewhere. Highly recommended!

Halal restaurant where you can enjoy beef, chicken, lamb dishes full of flavour. The handmade noodles and skewers are a must try!! First time tried their homemade yoghurt drink - It was delicious! Reasonably priced with generous portions.

Friendly staff.

3 mnts away from Melbourne Central and 10mnts walk from Flinders. It was quite busy for a Thursday night so better book if you are heading on a weekend.
