Jang Gun Carlton

It's definitely my go-to Korean restaurant. Im no big fan of Kbbq just for the smelly reason, but for Jang Gun I'm down for it. The army stew is my must have meal. Most my friends like the cheese egg and the pancake.
I always get the soup and the KFC anytime i come over. So yea check them out. Love it

Loved the food here. The spicy chicken and the army stew are delicious. Good portion sizes. Quick service by the staff. The place tends to get crowded.

Really good Korean food menu, with very pleasant staff. We had the half and half chicken which was delicious. The kimchi pancake, egg roll and bulgogi beef were also nicely done, with very generous portions at a very reasonable price.

Great as usual. Won’t be very crowded in this new location. All the food come with quite big portion.
Seafood rice cake includes several fresh seafood, soy garlic boneless fried chicken is great too. LA Beef rib is so so.

I know another branch of Jang Gun opened near my place but haven't gotten a chance to visit until recently. It was quite full even on a week night. We got their signature Army Stew (Bu-Dae Jjigae - $29) and Cheese Egg Roll ($17). They nailed their Army Stew. I personally think the quality of army stew depends on the amount of meat you throw in. The more protein it has, the more flavourful the broth gets over time (Y). That's exactly what Jang Gun did - absolutely packed it with all sorts of meat and more (esp tofu)! Cheese Egg Roll was cooked surprisingly well. It was VERY cheesy and I liked how cheese stretched as I took each piece away from the whole. Savoury and authentic. It was clear that Jang Gun didn't cheap out with any of the ingredients. No wonder it's always packed with people at night. Will definitely visit again :)

If I could give this place six stars, I would! The food's always consistently good. Our favourites are their fried chicken (original and soy), bibim-guksu (spicy cold noodles) and cheese buldak. The japchae I had recently here was good and generous in amount too! It's our go-to Jang Gun and go-to place for fried chicken. Can't wait to be back again.
