Childhood memories. Favourite crispy chicken still the same after 23 years when we were going to the Holmesglen TAFE. Just love it. Can't find the flavour anywhere.

Excellent value - a large was enough for two of us. This might not be the best place for authentic Chinese food, but it's a great place to grab Australian Chinese dishes, which are getting harder to find.

My top pick was the sweet and sour chicken - it was packed with flavour. My husband, who is Chinese, loved the lemon chicken - sauce was added right at the end to preserve the texture.

There were lots of vegetables in the fish and beef with black bean dishes, which was a huge plus.

We'd both be back for sure.

So glad I found and tried this spot. Seriously delicious food. Had the honey pepper chicken and I almost want to have it every night this week now haha.
Highly recommend coming here and giving it a go.

The best place to eat. Being eating here since I was a student arrived in Australia in 2007. They still rock the same quality food for very very reasonable price. I’d pay double for the food that good quality. Staff and the chefs always friendly. Crispy chicken, chicken or or pork chop they are all winners some chilli paste on the side to seal the deal. Love this joint. Keep up the good work. Happy to drive from Adelaide to Melbourne for this 👌👌👍👍👏👏👏👏

This serves one my all time classics!!.. the Crisp Skin Chicken with Rice and that amazing Chllie oil....You have to try this!!

Amazing little classic Chinese place with delicious fresh food

I have been eating here for around 10 years now, and have never been disappointed at the quality of the food. It's like a home cooked meal, and you can tell its cooked with love and care. Can always rely on leaving satisfied and with a full tummy.

Would highly recommend it, you won't regret it.

Hands down the best Chinese takeaway. After moving from the area I am always disappointed in my local establishments. I make the 40 min journey to Double Stars to enjoy what I consider the best Chinese I have ever had.

The chefs are friendly and always willing to adjust food if asked.I bring all my friends here to eat at great prices. What I pay for locally at 80+ I can get more and better here for less than 60.

1st time take away from here before.
My kids (10&11) absolutely loved everything.
Fried dims, honey chicken. Even the prawn crackers!
Also, their fried rice is actually fried, not boiled like other ‘takeaways’.

They definitely deserve 5 stars for their crispy chicken and nasi fried rice. Home made chilli sauce is really good quality as well. The best and the most friendliest customer service as well.

Me and my partner just keep coming back here nearly every month for the past 7 years. Their food is just amazingly awesome. No matter what day it is, if we crave for something good but don't know what to have, we always end up coming here. Great service as well! They are all very lovely and always have great customer service. Highly recommending it :)

There r way too many fake Chinese restaurants in Mel ae this one is def not one of them. Love those lunch special options most. They literally taste like home. Not overly saucy and greasy at all like some unauthentic Chinese cuisine. The staffs r always very friendly and the price r reasonable, or even cheap!!! Strongly recommended.

Still delicious as 15 years ago

The crispy chicken and tom yum fried rice is perfect.
The cashew nut chicken is also good but prefer it to be a bit more spicier.
The fried calamari was good but was not crispy enough but still tasty.

Legendary Chinese food since when i was there in 2000s. The Best in Holmesglen & Ashwood... thanks a lot Paul & Fiona.
