Planai Schladming Bergbahn

As non skiers, it was a ok, expensive to get up with a family, but there was a walking trail.(though not great) Great views though.

I visited Planai Schladming Bergbahn in the summer and had an amazing time! Taking the cable car up the mountain was a unique experience, and the view from the top was breathtaking. The staff was friendly and provided helpful information about the trails and activities. I enjoyed hiking on the well-marked paths, surrounded by beautiful nature and fresh air. The mountain biking options were also impressive, with trails suitable for different skill levels. After my outdoor adventures, I found cozy places to eat and relax, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. Navigating the area was easy due to clear signage. Overall, my summer visit to Planai Schladming Bergbahn was fantastic, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for outdoor fun and stunning views.

The gondola is clean,modern, with a scenic view on Schladming and the big Dachstein mountain. Schladming-Dachstein Sommercard accepted, worth using it for a daily hike up on the mountain

If you arrive in Schladming you have to go up with this cable car. The view is amazing, at the top you have restaurants, playgrounds for children. You can't be bored.

Parking is free, get there early or oder your ski pass on line. There are terminals to purchase tickets which are faster than standing on line. The weather was fantastic and the slopes were great. The Alms serve good food. Had a great weekend!

Winter or summer, this place is amazing.
The gondola takes turists and mountain bikers up to 1,830 m. For MTB lovers, this is paradise.
The view is simply stunning.
Planai is family friendly so if you gave kids, they won't get bored. They can get involved in many outdoor activites and spend the whole day there.

Nothing to compare with! My First time in the Alps and Austrian Slopes. Great for professionals and not so great at skiing (like me). Great slopes and overall Experience.

What an amazing experience. Clean, efficient, well staffed and at the top, wow just wow. One for those that don't like high cable cars too. Free! if you have a tourist card. Fun for kids too. Free parking. What's not to like.

Very nice area, a lot of ski slopes, unfortunately not enough snow due to weather and at afternoon due to warm weather artificial snow on slopes become a lot of small snow hills, and must be carefully because increase risk of accidents. At last day of our acomodation was snowing so strong, 😊, and too much snow on slopes, (heaven for snowboarders) not very good for ski users, but I guess that next day was perfect, after snow truck fix the slopes.
What it's also interesting to know, it's that the ski pass, cover entire area all ski slopes from area not only the Planai slopes and other 3 connected mountains, also Dachstein slopes, Dachstein glacier slopes all "Sky Amade" area.
With Ski pass tichet, you can visit Dachstein glacier with suspended bridge, stairs to nothingness and glacier cave for free, points of interess that should not be missed if you are near by.

One of the best spots in Schladming, where there are lots of activities for kids to do.. the view from the top is breathtaking..

A shop that has a good variety of sports clothes (in case you miss to have a jacket)

Perfect place to go with kids. We spend almost three hours walking through Hopsiland path and children were really happy.

We took the cabins to go to hopsiland in summer with a family of 4. The whole thing is very recent, parking was free and close to the cabin. Yes, it's pricey (around 60e to go up for a family of 4) but the whole hopsiland is free on top so that makes up for it. The view and the ride are also worth it.

Loved it so much ❤ We took the mountain railway to the highest station there is. The view was amazing. There are two trekking routes (the panorama tour, which takes about 40 minutes and another faster but also steeper route, that takes about 15 minutes)
The ticket for the mountain railway cost us 18€ per person.

Beautiful area with great views. Easy access by cable car right from central Schladming. Family friendly with the playground "Hopsiland"

If you're with small children a perfect place to spend a day.

Great ski resort with very good ski conditions even in the end of March. Variety of slopes and local flavoured restaurants and bars. Group of friends or family, you will always enjoy

Planai in Schladming is great place to visit several times. You can take you children and also grandparents with you, cause you can choose the routes you're taking. Summertime you can take a condol to go up, also with bikes. You can go hiking or downhill Cycling. You can choose the right route for you. Beautiful skenery all over the walley. Mountains over 1800 meters high. You can take some snacks with you or eat in local restaurants in the mountains.

Very nice place..I have been also during the winter time for skiing, and also now during the summer time..and it is really something special.. especially with kids...
