Fun hike through the gorge, took about 2 hours in total including the return down a separate track through the forest. Can be a bit slippery on the wooden walkways when wet. It is well worth taking the extra time to climb up to the monastery, where you will be rewarded with a lovely restaurant serving simple and delicious food.

Entrance is 5 euros. The parking is also 5 euros, and often full. You can park for free on several places in the village and walk to the entrance.

From the parking lot it is 500 meters to the entrance. The george is beautiful but steep with a lot of stairs (sturdy shoes advised). Parts can be wet and slippery. It is a little over 1km to the end of the george, and it is one-way only. At the end of the george is a gate. After the gate, you can choose to go back (1 hour walk) or walk 15 minutes uphill to St. Georgenberg. At St. Georgenberg is a beautiful monastery and a restaurant with a stunning view.

Total elevation is around 400 meters (to the monastery) and the round trip was 7km. There are signs along the way back to the parking in Stans.

I am a huge fan of gorges! I really did enjoy it! In the end of June there were almost no people so we had it almost private. Thanks to rocks the temperature is lower and it felt just great! In hot days I can recommend it even more!

Amazing place. Multiple places where you can sit and enjoy the view. Dogs are allowed. Be careful there are many stairs and some have big gaps between them. For people that are afraid of heights, you can have problems here! When you walk out of the clam you can relax at the creek. The walk back to the car was heavy for the legs because of the incline of the hill.

Nice "klamm" but you need to have some basic energy ;-)
Walk back through the forest back to the "Freibad". You can park your car for free @ the tennis courts/soccer pitch, but have to walk for 5 to 10 min to the start of the Klamm. Nice and you should visit if you are nearby!

The 5€ fee is well worth it. Caution: wooden bridges and platforms get slippery when wet, so wear appropriate footwear. After the visit you can grab a bite at Kloster Georgenberg, they have a restaurant and terrace with great views over the mountains on the site.
When we visited in late May 2021, the Klamm was open one way only (from Stans to Georgenberg, going uphill) due to Corona. But there are other options to get back to Stans from Georgenberg.

The entrance to the gorge is in the small town of Stans located near the A12 motorway running east from Innsbruck. It's worth being there in the morning, you have nature all to yourself😎

Amazing place. Breathtaking. Well worth a visit. Our four kids (ages 13, 11, 9 and 5) managed the climb fine on a warm day.

Dont use "wolfsklamm" as destination in your navigation, it will guide you to a road going up the mountain that you are not allowed to drive on. Once you find the parkingarea, where +-25 cars can park, it's a shortwalk upto the entrance of the path going into Wolfsklamm. From there it took me and my wife 2,5 hours hiking to get to the gasthof for lunch/drinks..back down took another 90 minutes (the short way down via the rodelbahn sign).
All in all it was a beautiful hike up, exhausting but beautiful. The way down was boring at first, but almost at the end the cows made up for a lot.

Spectacular gorge waterfall. Not an easy climb, but well worth the effort. Not touristy, not expensive. Parking is limited.

Definitely worth 5 Euros, very nice gorge. Path can be slippery, especially the wooden parts, so wear proper shoes.

Great experience, amazing views. Since Corona you can only walk one way. Plan at least 2-3h. The way back is 1h30 walk through the forrest.

Very interesting, beautiful natural attraction. The tour is a little harder than the travelogue wrote. Lots of steep stairs, rocky ground, you can only walk in very good shoes. But it is well worth the difficulty because the scenery is amazing, the waterfall is magnificent.

Definitely worth the 5 euro entry and the walk. Amazing views everywhere and I was impressed with how they made the pathways. Usually I don't like people charging entry for things found in nature, but this is one of the few exceptions where it was totally worth it and where I wouldn't have want to missed this!
