Hotel Lukashansl

I've stayed here twice in my life and always love to visit. It is a family run business, and by family run I mean that husband, wife and their children all take on different roles in day-to-day running of the hotel, which often goes unnoticed in other family-run businesses. They will often have their two dogs toddling about looking after the place (the one with white feet is the more friendly of the two!), which is charming if you're an animal lover. They also speak German and English fluently, so you're OK if you only have one of those languages.

The rooms have been a very comfortable size and with everything you'd need. Fresh towels provided with soap in the bathrooms and the rooms are made up by the cleaners daily. Noticed no noise from outside or inside besides the occasional grit lorry (a good thing in winter!).

The food is brilliant and well worth it if you're staying. They offer food at dinner time and the breakfast buffet is second to none, with coffee, teas, juices, water, fresh fruit, bowls of fruit salad with cereals and yoghurt, breads, meat, cheeses and their own home-made hummus (worth a try if you like that!).

They also have a bar downstairs offering wine and Austrian beers (Edelweiss was our favourite), and the bar staff are wonderful and great to chat to. After a long day of exploring it is nice to get a glass/stein and enjoy putting your feet up by the fire in winter.

If you hope to explore the wider area, the hotel is very well situated for utilising local transport such as the nearby Bruck-Fusch train station (cheap and FAST travel to nearby Zell am See) and bus links. If you're skiing, there is also a shuttle bus nearby which the hotel has the timetable for.

Speaking of skiing, you can also rent skis, boots, helmets and poles downstairs and store them in the heated storage rooms.

I would absolutely recommend staying here at this family-run hotel in such a beautiful area and with such a rich history (ask them about the Großglocknerstaße!).

This has been one of the most magnificents experiences of my life. This village is magical and this hotel is like being at Home. The river, the mountains, the forest, the church… just amazing! Thanks to everyone who have made it possible. We will 100% come back.

We've spent here two pleasant nights, everything was nice and clean.

The service was kind, and there were large common places for gatherings. We've met many Hungarian speaking guests and waitresses as well.

Clean rooms, quite reasonable food. The hotel was a bit busy, but still managed to provide us with an early breakfast the day we left (we wanted to start driving at 6 in the morning). Not the most modern hotel!

Central location with good facilities. Pillows were a bit rubbish but the pool makes up for that 😁

Während unserem Urlaub in Bruck sind wir zum Mittagessen bei Lukashansl eingekehrt.
Die Bedienung und der Kellner waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen, vor allem die Salzburger Nockerl waren hervorragend.

Rigtig hyggeligt hotel men der var meget forvirret om hvor vi skulle spise på 3 dag kunne de spøre om hvad selskab vi var med det havde de ikke styr på kunne godt tænke mig at de satte en nr på bordet så man kan se vor vi skulle være men stadig væk en hotel jeg gerne besøge igen
