Café Sacher Graz

Strudel is very good, warm, which some people don't like, but very tasty overall. Coffee is okay, come for the desert and not for coffee.

The Sacher Cafe in Vienna is probably one of the most famous cafes in the world, it is nice to have one in Graz. The atmosphere was excellent, employees were very nice and kind. I ordered Vienna Ice Coffee and the Sacher torte, both were really nice. I can not say the best I tried but they were nice, of course much better than average. Also the price is very high too, keep in mind that you are paying mostly for the atmosphere. Although expensive, I can suggest the experience.

Beautiful ambient, wonderful cakes! Tried Sacher and Apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce. Perfect!

The famous Café Sacher (est. 1832) you might know from Vienna, located on the opposite of the Wiener Staatsoper, the renowned Vienna Opera House. But for several years there is also a Café Sacher here in Graz. It is one of the few grand cafés in this students town. The location of the Café Sacher in Graz is in the Herrengasse, Graz’ main street. So from here you are in every part of the old town within a few minutes by foot. The entry of the Sacher at the Herrengasse is already quite elegant and hard to miss with all its splendor. You either stay in the part of the Sacher directly at the Herrengasse or you go through a long hallway into the rear part, where it is more comfortable and also tables for dining are set. The staff is very friendly and the opening hours are nice every day till 21:00, except Sunday (18:00).

The rear part is my favorite, with its comfy benches and splendid interior. You might think now, that I took a Sacher Torte, this very special tart. Far from it! I took a Kleiner Brauner (literally: small brown one), this small coffee with milk, famous all across Austria, together with a Moccaeclair, an éclair filled with mocca…yummy. Having had this in that kind of interior is really a special experience, since the elegant decoration of the Sacher blends in with the delicious dessert and coffee.

Great menu, nice staff and pleasant ambience!

Very nice place. The staff is very respectful, friendly and willing to take a small special request (asked for an iced coffee). And they also speak English. It is located right in the centre of the city.

It may be overpriced, but would you come to Graz and not try the original Sacher?

AFRICASIAEURO_COM | Cafe Sacher is amongst the best Cafes in Austria. The name Sacher guarantees top quality and service. The cappuccino was strong and well brewed. The Strawberry cake as well delicious.
The Interior is as a Viennese Cafe should be designed. All famous cafes are from the turn of the century and SACHER is no exception.
Pleasant atmosphere and a distinguished clientele.
You could almost say the creme de la creme of Graz favorite spot.
The famous SACHER TORTE i.e. chocolate cake now goes for 7 EUROS a slice.
SACHER also serves excellent food. Recommended is the TAFELSPITZ, prime boiled beef with horseradish, apparently a favorite of the late then Emperor Kaiser Franz Joseph, head of the Habsburg Monarchy.
I would have liked to give an all out 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐(⭐ ) STARS, however I was not doing so because the staff did take too long to attend and serve.
On my next visit to GRAZ I shall review and comment if GMAPS permits.

Tasty, not too sweet chocolate cakes, good coffee, nice service and open till 9pm on Saturday

Has some lovely cakes and snacks but be prepared to pay for the luxury. The loyalty system works well though and worth doing if you drink enough coffee. Friendly staff and they often remember your usual order if you go regularly enough.
