A very nice park. This place is ideal for a family trip. Here you can walk, children can ride bicycles, rollerblades, scooters. There is a nice lake where you can rent a boat. The only drawback is that you cannot pay by card in the restaurant, they only accept cash 🍀🌸🪻🚣🏻⛵

Get in your car or on the bus now.

Beautiful castle on an island

One of the best parks/walks in the wider Vienna area

€3.50 for entrance
Kilometres of walking routes

So much to see

At night they have an illumination show

We were in Vienna for a couple of days and wanted to get out of the city. We took an S Bahn train to Laxenburg. We took a short walk towards the town to the park to see the park. Luxemburg town is beautiful, the park had lots of different length walks. It's €3.50 each to enter the park. We did the longest walk which brought us around the forest, across the beautiful waterfall, then finally into the grounds of Luxembourg Castle. When you first catch a glimpse of the castle it takes your breath away. Well worth the short train journey to Luxenburg!!

Beautiful park that you can explore for a very long time. You can rent boats or just walk along the pathway and explore.
During the week there are not so many people there.

But you have to pay an entrance fee.

Very nice nature views and old architecture and buildings. Very family and kids friendly place to spend time on the weekend, I assume you can go there any time of the year. You can rent a small boat to explore the lake over there, we were there during summer and we were really happy to do that. Not sure how it would be in winter but would like to find out if we can in the future. I would recommend you drive by car from Vienna. But the public transport is also reachable but you need to spend more time on go and back to the bus station.

Wonderful escape from the city chaos. Very peaceful and huge. We were on a working day, so it was quite quiet before the bus with tourists came. However, even then there are lots of hidden places for you to just be alone in the nature. We haven't done much like boat or horse ride. We just walked, had a picnic and enjoyed the time together with my little one. The parking is free which is awesome. And there are free public toilets. The entrance fee was 3 Euro per adult. There is also a big playground for kids which we tried to avoid since we wouldn't have been able to leave it ))) We are definitely coming back.

Fantastic experience. Just one of a kind. Go 100% tickets a bit expensive I would say

Illumina was, again, an amazing experience. Our Kids loved it and the Light show and compositions were stunning. Although it was quite wet, the road were stroller friendly.

Beautiful castle and lake, nice park. The museum was interesting, it can be visited with a german guided tour only but there are audioguides on several languages, Hungarian is very funny. There is a small restaurant with good food and there are small buffets as well (hot dog, french fries, drinks).

A beautiful, large expanse of curated grounds and historical structures well worth a visit. Pack a snack and some drink with you and enjoy a day of nature and views. There are plenty of printed narratives describing history. Depending on the season and day of the week there may be a snack bar or restaurant open.

You dreamed to enter a fairy tale? Just visit the Laxenburg area! There's everything you may need: large grass areas, long promenades, lake, castles Roman ruins, boats, train... Place to enjoy all day long and only a couple minutes away from Vienna. Amazing place where you'll rest your soul and you'll keep comming back. Entrance costs almost nothing, massive parkings are free of charge, restrooms are available. A snack bar is a part of the areal. I simply can't dedcribe how delighted I am.

Amazing park! So big and nice. The entrance fee 3.00€. Dogs are also allowed. You can walk there the whole day and enjoy the nature, rent a small boat and make a round around the Castle. There are few places to eat but better bring some blanket and do a picnic there.☺

Laxenburg Palace Park offers a variety of entertainment options not only for adults but also for children. The spacious playground with its diverse play equipment provides hours of fun and adventure for young visitors.

For romantics and families alike, the picturesque lake offers the opportunity for boat rides, either in cozy pedal boats but also romantic electro boats. The idyllic backdrop and atmosphere make this experience unforgettable.

Furthermore, visitors have the option to explore the park in a unique way: with a small "train ride" through the well-maintained paths and avenues. This relaxed mode of transportation allows visitors to enjoy the park's beauty without rushing or undertaking exhausting walks.

We visited the castle and garden at the beginning of our journey to Vienna at the end of December. It was cold, but we walked with great interest and looked at the large property and the interesting things on it. Nice.

Big, clean park. Rather many branches to have a rest. You also can have small picnic on the bank of the lake. Entrance fee can be paid by card. But inside the park only cash. There is one food corner near the lake. WC is also there. Very cool playground. The boat also can be rented additionally. For the electric boat (up to 6 persons) you leave 30 euros deposit and 14 euro for 30 min ride.
When you give the the boat back, they also give back a deposit
